  • The following campaigns will also be active:
    • From November 8 at 3 PM to November 11 at 3 PM JST, 8 Score Match stages will be swapped out with different ones (number of stages per rank will remain the same)
    • From November 11 at 3 PM until the end of the event, the Score Match stages from the beginning of the event will be added to the pool again, for a total of 17 stages in each difficulty (1 stage will be playable throughout the entire event)

November 4, 2016

  • The app has been updated to version 4.1
    • As mentioned previously, leveling skills for SSRs and non-promo URs has been made easier
    • It is now possible to sort your club members by the number of school idol skills they have
    • Changes to the auto create unit function
      • If you do not have enough club members of the selected attribute, it will fill the rest with members having the highest stats in that attribute
      • It is now possible to prioritize perfect lock skills
      • The center idol will be selected in order of highest rarity, meaning that even if you have an SSR with a higher stat in the attribute, the UR will still be selected instead
    • In lessons, there is now a checkbox to include/exclude members for which you have not read the side story
    • Changes to the news screen UI
    • In lessons, on the confirmation screen, it will now display the number of seals you gain from a certain lesson
    • Various UI and bugfixes

  • In the coming days, there will be a balance adjustment with regards to skills and leveling skills for SSRs and URs
    • Leveling skills will require fewer points - to be implemented in the November 4 maintenance
      • After the update, each player's SSRs/URs skill levels will be adjusted to the after-adjustment values
      • If your SSR/UR was already at skill level 8 before the adjustment, you will be given support members equivalent to the overflow after adjustment
        • Example: Your smile member was already skill level 8 and had 2150 points more than necessary. You will receive 2 UR Nico's Mothers, 1 SR Mika, and 5 R Yazawa Cocoas.
    • Activation rates and skill effects will be increased - to be implemented in the November 5 maintenance
      • This applies to the rates and effects of skills above level 1
      • The parameters of level 1 skills will remain unchanged
    • Promo URs are not included

  • The game has been updated to version 4.0.3 (App Store/Google Play update required)
    • A new feature has been added to change the amount of LP depleted when playing a song
      • Up to 4x the regular LP cost of the song can be used
      • During token events, the amount of tokens depleted can be adjusted as well
      • The more LP/tokens used, the more rewards you get
        • EXP, G, event tokens, event points, and rewards box gauge are affected, as well as the chance of receiving an R card as a reward
        • Kizuna, favorite points, assignment completion counts, and friend points are not affected
    • You can now choose between using tickets and Loveca stones when recruiting from premium recruitment
    • You can now see favorite point rankings by member rather than only by specific cards
      • Tap the button on the profile page to switch between the two
    • Certain animations on the song rewards screen can now be skipped by tapping
    • School Idol Skill UI updates
      • Selecting a skill from the School Idol Skills list and tapping the details button can now show which cards have the skill equipped
      • The School Idol Skills list can now be sorted by the number that you have equipped
    • The auto select for practice partners can now be configured to select only cards of the same attribute
      • Cards that are max level will not be selected
    • An option in the album to show only awakened cards has been added

    • The card designs are being overhauled and a new SSR rarity is being added!
      • SSR is a rarity in between SR and UR, and there will be new premium recruitment cards added
      • Also, there will be campaigns for increase SR appearance rates
    • The way skill level ups work is being changed
      • When a card with the same skill name or a support member is used, it will fill a gauge instead, and the skill will be leveled up when it's full
      • Support members can also be used regardless of rarity, however the attribute must still be the same
      • This gauge is not affected by super or ultra success
    • New center skills for URs
      • On top of their current center skills, URs will also give a bonus to certain groups, years, or subunits
    • New partner functionality
      • A partner can be set to be the card that appears on your home screen, which will be separate from your units
      • Other players will still see the center of your main unit as their assist
    • New Favorite Point functionality
      • When you use the card you have set as a partner in a live, that card will gain Favorite Points
      • The cards with the highest Favorite Points will show up on your profile, much like how the cards with the highest total kizuna do now
    • There will be a new feature to switch between the unawakened and awakened design of a card
    • The card member list is being revamped to make it easier to use
      • The starting number of club spaces is being increased from 90 to 120
      • The assignments for increasing club spaces will be removed and the rewards will be changed to 1 Loveca Stone
        • If you have already cleared these assignments, then you will not gain any extra space and will be reimbursed Loveca Stones
      • The maximum number of club spaces is being increased to 1000, and each Loveca Stone spent will increase by 4 spaces instead of 3
        • If you have already spent Loveca Stones to increase club spaces, then the extra space will be added retroactively
      • Support cards will be moved to a separate page and not count toward your club space
        • If you have support cards for leveling skills with a skill level greater than 1, their skill levels will be set back to 1 and you will be given extra copies of that card based on the original skill level
      • There will also be new filtering functions added
    • Expert difficulty will be added to the regular songs
    • A new Master difficulty is being added, and 4 songs will be available to play per month from the special songs section
    • µ's and Aqours switching function
      • You can use whatever unit to play whatever song you want in either mode, but using µ's members in µ's mode or Aqours members in Aqours mode will score you more points in a live
      • Aqours songs will also be available to be unlocked through assignments that are not related to rank
    • A random song selection feature is being added
      • Once you have unlocked a certain number of regular songs, you will be able to use this to select a song to play at random
      • The attribute that appears in random select will change daily, and both µ's and Aqours modes will have their own pool of Easy, Normal, Hard, and Expert songs
      • When playing a song selected through random select, you will also increase the Reward Box gauge faster

  • Spread over 2 weeks, here's an overview of what's coming in the planned update on July 5
    • Special lessons (awakening cards)
      • Up until now, special lessons have required a duplicate of the card. However, it will now be possible to perform them using seals.
      • In addition to awakening cards, special lessons will also increase the number of School Idol Skill slots (see next section)
      • Because of this change, awakened cards will be changed to only give 1 seal when they are used as fodder or sold
      • The number of seals required to awaken a card depends on the rarity of the seals used and the rarity of the card
    • School Idol Skills - Give your favorite cards a boost in power!
      • These are special skills that can strengthen the cards in your club, and can be obtained from the Reward Box (see next section)
      • There are various kinds of skills, and depending on their strength, use up 1-4 slots, with stronger skills using up more slots
      • Using a duplicate of a card to awaken them will increase a card's School Idol Skill slots by 1
      • Special lessons can be performed on already awakened cards in order to increase their School Idol Skill slots. Using a duplicate will increase by 2; using seals will increase by 1.
      • The following table shows the initial and maximum number of School Idol Skill slots that a card of a certain rarity can have:

  • Reward Box - Get rewards from high scores!
    • A new Reward Box will be added to the rewards from clearing a live
    • As you clear lives, you will fill a gauge. Once it's filled, it'll be opened, allowing you obtain various items, such as School Idol Skills.
    • There are several ranks of Reward Boxes. The higher the rank, the easier it will be to get better items, and the higher the unlock condition.

      • On the live, story, and recruitment menus, a button will be added to switch between µ's and Aqours
      • Not only will this affect what's shown on those menus, but it will also change the characters that show up on the login bonus and download screens
    3. A new SSR rarity
      • This new rarity will be in between SR and UR
      • The card designs are also being revamped!
    4. Expert songs are being added to the normal songs, and a new Master difficulty is being added
      • The trophies you've obtained for the Expert songs will be carried over
      • A difficulty above Expert, Master, is being added, and will be released as special songs, 4 per month
        • Currently, only µ's songs are planned
    5. A new "School Idol Skill" feature
      • School Idol Skills can be set to increase the stats and strengthen the skills of cards
      • The higher rarity the card, the more skills can be set
      • The number of skills that can be set can be increased through special lessons
    6. Seals will be able to be used to awaken cards
      • Even if you only have R seals, you can use them to awaken URs and SRs if you have enough of them

March 4, 2016

  • The Challenge Festival Round 1 event will begin on March 5 at 4 PM and run until March 15 at 3 PM JST; there will be maintenance for one hour before and after the event
  • Event rules are as follows:
    1. Select the course you wish to play (Beginner, Normal, Hard, Extreme). Each course contains 5 rounds, with one song per round. As you advance through each round, it will be more likely that the next song you get is harder than the previous.
      • In the event that you fail a song in a round, your event points, G, and EXP will be halved (unless you fail on the first song, in which case you get nothing). You will also lose all Gold/Silver/Bronze rewards that you have collected.
      • Beginning with the second round, there will be a "Stop and Receive Rewards" option, if you feel that the song is too difficult for you. The festival will end and you will receive all of the rewards that you have collected.
      • You are allowed to pause between songs. The current status will be saved.
      • Each round has its own pool of 8 songs, from which a song is selected. It is possible for the same song to appear twice in the same course.
      • The songs for each course will have the following difficulties:
        • Beginner: 1★ - 6★ (Easy and Normal)
        • Normal: 4★ - 8★ (Normal and Hard)
        • Hard: 6★ - 10★ (Hard and Expert)
        • Extreme: 9★ - 11★ (Regular, Random and Daily Expert)
    2. After the round song is displayed, there is a chance that bonuses will activate. Up to 3 bonuses can be active at a time, and certain combinations will trigger extra special bonuses.
      • The effect of the bonuses is limited to that round only.
      • The further you progress in a course, the more likely that a bonus will activate.
    3. Select the unit that you wish to use for the song. The unit may be changed for each round.
    4. You can use G to "arrange" the songs, much like in Medley Festival, to provide special effects. Note that the arrangements will reset after each round.
    5. Once you clear the round, you will collect event points, G, EXP, and Gold/Silver/Bronze rewards. The further you get in a course, the more event points, G, and EXP you will collect, and the higher the likelihood of Gold and Silver rewards appearing.
      • You will only receive everything that you have collected after you clear the fifth round or once you select the "Stop and Receive Rewards" option.

    • Rewards include SR Sonoda Umi (Bubbles), R Miyama Satoko - see event page for details
  • The following campaigns will also be active:
    • From February 23 at 3 PM to February 26 at 3 PM JST, the Score Match stages will be swapped out with different ones (number of stages per rank will remain the same)
    • From February 26 at 3 PM until the end of the event, the Score Match stages from the beginning of the event will be added to the pool again, for a total of 16 EASY/NORMAL/HARD stages, 10 EXPERT stages, and 12 TECHNICAL stages

  • Due to the overwhelming popularity of the SIF National Competition in 2015, it will be scaled up this year!
  • Online Preliminaries: January 31 4PM JST - February 15 3PM JST
    • Assigned song: SUNNY DAY SONG
    • During this period, you can play the specified song up to 10 times
    • If you don't participate in the preliminaries, you cannot advance to the second round
    • You can choose from any difficulty and must used the assigned unit
    • Participating in the preliminaries also gives you an exclusive title
    • Enrollment period: February 15 4PM JST - February 21 4PM JST
      • Players with the highest scores can confirm their enrollment to the second round during this time
  • Second round will take place at 6 locations in Japan
  • Finals will be held on May 22 in Tokyo
