Frequently Asked Questions
I performed a perfect combo on a song, but how come my score is still "C"?
- Scoring is dependent on two aspects of the game:
- Skill level: How well the player performed on the stage and how long the combos are, and
- Unit Composition: Each card has three colored attributes (Red, Green, and Blue) representing stats in Smile, Pure, and Cool respectively, and each song in the game is associated with a particular attribute or color. Units which have higher points in the stage's attribute will earn a higher score accordingly. For this reason, building proper units with the correct attributes is important to getting a good score and earning higher ranks.
- For a much more in-depth explanation, see the Scoring page.

How do I level up character skills?
- If a card being used for lessons has the same skill name as the card being trained and leveled up, its the skill level has a chance of increasing. In order to guarantee a card's skill will level up, the skill of the card being fed MUST have the same name and MUST be the same skill level or higher. If the fed being fed has a skill of a lower level, there is a chance that the skill level of the character being trained will not increase.
- Skill cards obtained from vouchers work the same way, except that the skill name does not need to be the same. However, the rarity and attribute (unless the card's color is purple) must be the same or there will of the skill level increasing.
- Please see Lessons for more details on Lessons.
I got a code for this awesome new promo card but... how do I put it into my game?
- Go here, enter your ID and the serial code, and click the button.
How come I only have one song in my normal song selection list?
- Play through Story mode to unlock more songs. Go to ストーリー, then メインストーリー, and choose stories that you haven't read yet. If there are no unread stories, try to increase your rank or beat a newly acquired song on Easy rank. That will usually open up more story episodes. Also, there are no choices in the stories so you do not actually have to understand what it says to unlock more songs.
What are Loveca Stones used for?
- You may use loveca stones to
- Replay a live performance if you failed (generally a bad idea)
- Restore LP
- Expand your upper card limit
- Use the Premium Recruitment Box to draw for more members (Rare and higher).
- In the case of drawing, gathering 50 loveca stones and getting 11 cards at once during a guaranteed SR event is probably the best thing to do. For other purposes, restoring LP during events for tiering is also the best thing and cheaper as you can get a transformed SR using fewer stones.
- You may use loveca stones to
What are Friend Points used for?
- Friend points are the most common way to get new member cards. Usually cards drawn are normal-ranked, but sometimes rare cards will appear.
What happens when I choose a friend right before I start a Live?
- Choosing a "Guest", or a partner, before you start your live concert benefits you in two ways:
- Stat boost in for your unit depending on the guest's card attribute and rarity. The boosts they give are:
- Rares: Small increase in attribute type (3%)
- Super Rares: Moderate increase in attribute type (6%)
- Ultra Rares: Large increase in attribute type (9% to 12%)
- Earning friend points. Guests chosen that are on the friends list will give the player 10 points for picking them. Picking them will also give the guest 10 points as well. However, the points are only given once per day; if they are picked again on the same day, neither party will receive any friend points. Non-friends give both the player and the guest 5 points, and after clearing the Live the player is asked if he/she wishes to friend them.
- Stat boost in for your unit depending on the guest's card attribute and rarity. The boosts they give are:
- For details on the stat increase, please see Scoring. For more details on Friends, please see Friends.

How do I quit the game?
- Unfortunately, it seems this game doesn't have an option to close so you will have to kill the application if you want it to stop draining your phone's battery, or to get the login bonuses.
My phone died/I got a new phone. How can I get my account back?
- First, to obtain your code allows you to transfer your account, go to その他, 各種設定, and then select 発行 to retrieve an ID and code that can be used to restore your data (note that both are required). Next, on your new phone you are transferring your data to, during the initiation of the game before you register, tap the orange button on the bottom to enter your ID and code.
- Note: If you are resuming from different platforms (so iOS -> Android or vice versa), your account must have zero loveca stones in it, otherwise you will get an error message.
How do you get loveca stones without paying money? (AKA for free)
- Login bonuses
- Reading side stories (unlocked by maxing kizuna on awakened card) and reading the last part of a main story
- Playing an EX stage for the first time, as well as getting S combo trophy for EX songs and S clear trophy for hard/EX songs
- Clearing all difficulties of a daily song for the first time, as well as getting A/S rank, A/S combo and A/S clear trophies
- Event point rewards, as well as final ranking rewards
- Album completion bonuses (every 25 awakened cards you get 3 loveca assuming you max their level and kizuna, see progress and claim rewards from アルバム報酬 in the その他 menu)
- When it's a μ's member's birthday, everyone gets 5 free loveca
- Loveca is also given out when maintenance is extended or when there are connectivity issues with the server (usually happens at the beginning of events when everyone is rushing in)
Can you act like you usually do at school?
- ...I have no idea what you're talking about にっこ~★

General Game Questions
2 questions: (1) After I've maxed my awakened N cards in both level and kizuna, is there any point in keeping them? I have all my maxed awakened N cards in my inventory, and I've been afraid to sell and use them in leveling up my other cards because I don't know what would happen.
- In my opinion.. If you have all 3 color teams filled with at least R or above, there's no point keeping them. Probably use them to level your Rs, but it's best to level your SR/URs first as they have more points when maxed.
- If you don't need to use them in your units, you can sell them if you want, but you could also use them to level any R/SR/URs you get (might as well use those experience points for something, especially if you're low on friend points/fodder). Nothing bad's going to happen if you don't keep them or something, lol. Also keep in mind that there's no use for gold except for lessons/special lessons, so unless you're really running low, you're better off using them as fodder instead. --Menma (talk)
(2) I've noticed in some Youtube videos that the idols don't appear in the background when their effects are activated during a song. Where do I find that setting? Here's one of those Youtube videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlaalRUkTbk
- Press the gear icon at the bottom right to get to the others menu.
- Press the button named 各種設定(3rd row, 1st column) to get to the gameplay settings.
- From there you'll see one of the option with On and Off. That's the one you're looking for.
I managed to get 7211th place in the Kokoro event and it says in the prize list that I was supposed to get 1 Ticket but I didn't see it in my gift box. Have you guys gotten yours already? And what's the ticket for anyway?
- Try checking it again at a later time. Or you probably mistaken your 7211th place for the event song rankings instead of the event points rankings. As for the ticket, a ticket can be used in place of 5 Loveca stones to draw a card in the premium recruitment.
- Oh lol you were right it was for the event points ranking. Thanks for the reply!
Hi. Is it possible to change your name? If it is possible, would you be able to guide me?
- Go to the others menu and click the button named 各種設定 to get to the gameplay options. From there, click the button named 名前変更 to change your name.
Can you do the 10+1 premium recruitment if you have 10 Tickets?
Are the guaranteed SR/UR 10+1 draws only when the new SRs/URs introduced (aka before January 5th for the current one) or is it still guaranteed during the event, when there is no increased chance for the new ones? Just clarifying since the wording on the main page confuses me a bit.
- As of now, each time after an event ended, the guaranteed SR/UR 10+1 draw, and the increased rate of getting the new set of SRs/UR (Note that base rate will remain the same) will be on till the next event starts. Once the next event starts, the guaranteed draw and the increased rates for the new ones will end.
- Only when they're introduced. Specifically, it's until the date that's shown on the banner in the announcements in game, in the event/special draw area underneath the goals on the home screen or on the side ad in the recruitment screen, i.e. the same date as the increased chance of drawing the newer cards. So yes, Jan. 5 for the current one. --Menma (talk) 07:45, 10 January 2014 (PST)
Has there been any more details regarding skill levelups? I've only tried it once, but I noticed that one of R Honoka got to skill level 3 from eating a someone with a skill level of 1.
- The card you use to feed your main just need to have the same skill, the skill level doesn't matter. Also, I may be wrong, but feeding your main with a card's skill level that is the same or higher, have a better chance of success. I'm still not sure how the skill leveling works entirely though.
- As far as I can tell, nobody knows exactly how skill levelling works. It appears that if you feed, for example, two characters with level 1 skill to another character with level 1 skill, all of the same name, then it is possible for it to jump two levels, from level 1 to level 3. The specifics aren't known though. The only guaranteed method of levelling skills is to feed a card another card with the same skill level and skill name. If you feed it with a card with a lower skill level, then there is a possibility of failure. --Menma (talk) 07:45, 10 January 2014 (PST)
What happens after your 10th loveca draw? My stars reset and I don't think I got anything.
Is there a table showing the "max friend", "max LP" , "exp to next rank" of every rank or something similar like when will max friend or max LP increase per rank?
- There's one on the Japanese wiki, but it's way too much effort to copy over here and it's not even complete, lol. Generally, your max LP increases every even rank and your max friend slots increases every ten ranks on the tens. EXP needed to rank up increases between 30-40 each time. --Menma (talk) 07:07, 20 January 2014 (PST)
As I'm starting to have extra SRs from summons and events.. Which is better: Setting the team with SRs with points increase skills, or auto setting the team with raw high points but with some SRs with healing skills? Thanks. :)
- Depends how much you really need the healing. If you can do fine without them, then there's no point having them in your team unless they actually have decently high stats. Also, if you have enough SRs/Rs, it'd be better to have a team all of one attribute rather than having multi-attribute teams, since the score you get depends also on the attribute of the card. If the attribute of the card doesn't match the song, then even though its raw stats may be high, you might end up with a lower score. Score increasing skills would probably help you out the most in events though. --Menma (talk) 14:59, 30 January 2014 (PST)
I've notice that the new Christmas/Valentine UR has center skill that increase their own color points based on Smile/Pure/Cool points instead of the usual Smile Princess/Pure Empress/Cool Empress center skill that increases their total color points by 9%. I was wondering how much points does it add? The Japanese wiki for the Nozomi UR says that the skill is "Cool P is UP according to the pure P * 1" but have no idea how it's calculated. Thanks.
- It's 12%. So for example, the Nozomi UR would increase your cool stats by 12% of your raw pure stats. --Menma (talk) 21:15, 16 February 2014 (PST)
Is there an explanation on what the appeal types/skills do? 26 March 2014
- Check the individual cards on the character pages. The ones on the card list page are just summarized due to the length of the full text. --Menma (talk) 07:38, 26 March 2014 (PDT)
- Thank you!
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but is it a must to use loveca stones to rank high in the events? I've noticed people have been getting the SR card by the 2nd day, and it doesn't seem possible without using stones.
Hi, is there a way to tell if the 10+1 loveca draw will give a guaranteed SR from the banner text? Also, is the automatic best setup that the game gives always best in terms of max stats for that color or does it also take abilities into account? Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
- The banner will say 11連SR以上1枚確定 if it's during a guaranteed SR or higher period. Also, the auto team thing only takes into account stats. --Menma (talk) 06:58, 31 March 2014 (PDT)
This sounds a little stupid, but how do you vote in the summer poll? I don't know where to find it.
- In the announcements, tap the post with the banner with all the µ's girls in their swimsuits (third post down). The top link is for the summer girl poll (it's somewhere in the middle, the one with >> <<) and the one near the bottom is for the Ns. --Menma (talk) 10:53, 17 April 2014 (PDT)
Is there an option to disable the combo animation (not the character skill animation) during the live?
- Nope. They're going to add it in (or at least the option to disable the sparkle effects) in the next version of the game though, according to their Twitter. --Menma (talk) 08:16, 18 April 2014 (PDT)
Will you receive free loveca if it is the µ's seiyuu birthdays?
- Unfortunately as my memory serve me, they do not give loveca...
- Nope - Shini (talk) 18:31, 20 April 2014 (PDT)
Is there a way to check your current ranking during the event?
- There is, actually. Within the Event screen, choose the rightmost option, then choose 自分のランク (or something like that) in the drop-down menu.
- Alright, I got to see the rankings, but there are four categories in the dropdown menu - I know that two of them are event point ranking and event song ranking, but I don't know what the other two are. What are the other two?
When there are guaranteed SR/UR events, does that extend to the normal premium draw or is it only the 10+1 draw that has guaranteed SR/UR?
- Only the 10+1 draw, unfortunately. The single premium draw follows the same 90%-9%-1% rule.
If i clear all difficulty of the event songs, do I get a loveca stone as well?
- No, clearing all of easy/normal/hard of the event song gives you 500 friend points. Clearing the EX modes (i.e. regular and random) will give you one each though. --Menma (talk) 15:22, 27 April 2014 (PDT)
Can I get the card from past score match event by using premium draw?
- It should be added to there after this event, so on April 30. --Menma (talk) 15:22, 27 April 2014 (PDT)
- More precisely any event card seem to appear in the premium draw two events (1 month) after their own event. --TReusbucks (talk) 19:18, 14 May 2014 (PDT)
How do you get Rare cards after finishing a live? Just got one after doing an Expert, I'm assuming it's really rare?
- By chance. It's just really... Rare. :V --TReusbucks (talk) 23:45, 29 April 2014 (PDT)
Has the guaranteed SR event ever happened while a special recruitment box event is active (e.g. guaranteed SR and Printemp box)?
- No. It's only to promote the new cards so it's only ever for the regular premium box. --Menma (talk) 05:18, 30 April 2014 (PDT)
Is there any way to check how many times you've cleared a song?
- Yes! Just press and hold on the song. It will display your SCORE, COMBO and CLEAR times.
Do tickets stack up? If I don't use the ticket right away and I get another one in another event, will I be able to use both? Also, can you hold onto a ticket for as long as you want without using it?
- Yes, the tickets stacks up so you do not have to use it immediately. However, by doing so, you cannot use your lovecas and purchase any premium box members from the main premium recruitment box (you can still use lovecas from special premium recruitment boxes). There are also no 10+1 draw for the tickets. And yes, there is no time limit to the ticket.
Is there a way to hear the voice when Kizuna point is maxed again?
- Not that I know of. It only plays once you've unlocked the side story for that card, which only ever happens once. --Menma (talk) 09:40, 16 May 2014 (PDT)
Is there any prize for doing well in the daily ranking for a song? (sorry if it's somewhere on the wiki, may have just missed it!)
What factor affects which character appears on the home menu?
- It's your main unit's center. Other characters pop up randomly from time to time. --Menma (talk) 20:32, 17 May 2014 (PDT)
Are the better Normals rarer than the bad ones? For cards you obtain after a Live, do the chances of getting better ones depend on difficulty or score or something? I'm trying to get a second copy of the last few to idolize them and max their bond + level, and all of the ones i don't have yet are good normals, and I seem to get hoards of the bad ones.
- Ok let me try to understand what you are saying first...
- When you are saying 'better Normals' i believe you are trying to say Rare
- When you finish a song you can get the rare members. However the chance of getting it is very slim
- you can also use the recruit/scout function to get the members. It do not have to be only after clearing a song
- It is called Normal(N), Rare(R), Super Rare(SR),Ultra Rare(UR). And as the name implies (N) is what you get all the time unless you are lucky engough to get a (R) card after a song
- Does this answer your question? If not, please tell us which part is not clear
- By better normals I mean cards that are normal rarity, but the higher end of them, such as tatara ru or mizuki kikawa, as opposed to the low end, like yu aizawa or shizuku osaka. I do not mean the Rare rarity/ not cards that are the members of Mu's.
- Ahhh i understand now... ok so the chance to get them are the same but i usually just use the recruit/scout function to just get the cards. I don't really rely on the ones they give after a live
- Lives usually give cards that are lower in card number, which I guess are weaker to an extent. They also don't give any cards past the initial set of Ns (the first 27) as far as I can tell, so those Ns must be scouted using Friend Points. --Menma (talk) 06:29, 18 May 2014 (PDT)
How does the daily ranking work, and when if ever does it matter (in terms of rewards, etc)? Is it only based on whatever songs you play for that day?
- It doesn't matter at all. It's something like a rolling total of the scores you got in the past 24 hours I think. --Menma (talk) 06:56, 21 May 2014 (PDT)
Is there an exp chart for leveling characters? I Will like the know the different exp requirements of N, R, SR and UR as it can help with the feeding process (especially with alpaca in the upcoming event)
- Would you need a full chart with how much exp it takes to get it to the next level or are totals enough? I could probably add it somewhere I guess, but it takes 4475 to get an N to 30 or 8000 to 40; 6725 to get an R to 40 or 13500 to 60; 23803 to get an SR to 60 or 36800 to 80; and 59408 to get a UR to 80 or 79700 to 100. --Menma (talk) 09:59, 21 May 2014 (PDT)
- The totals are enough for me, thank you very much! :)
In terms of team distribution, auto-formation will sometimes put off color rares on my teams. For example, on my Pure team I have a Smile Maki because her Pure level is higher than all of the other Pure cards that I have. If I want to get a higher score, should I replace that Smile Maki with another Pure card, even if it has lower stats? Or should I just use the auto-formation placements as they are?
- It really depends how much higher the stats are. For example, if there's only a difference of 100 in the pure stat, you might be better off with another pure card, since you'd get the 10% score bonus. However, keep in mind that pure Rs have healing skills while smile/cool Rs have scoring skills, so there's a number of factors to consider, and you'll have to be the judge of that yourself. The overall scoring differences wouldn't be major though, so you shouldn't need to care too much unless you're like a sliver away from S rank or something. --Menma (talk) 12:11, 22 May 2014 (PDT)
- That makes sense to me. I thought the same color multiplier was much more of a difference maker than I believed it to be. But overall - in a very broad sense - am I right in understanding that it is typically better to have a higher ranking team regardless of color of the team members? Thanks!
- Don't forget that kizuna (bond) is also a factor. Each card in a unit gives an attribute bonus equal to its kizuna/bond value, for the card's main attribute. An awakened pure R will give a bonus 200 pure, which you would not get with the smile SR (it would add its kizuna to smile instead). Generally this won't matter though, since the stats on the SRs will be high enough to exceed the kizuna bonus loss. It makes more of a difference when there's a high amount of kizuna involved, e.g. promo cards and URs.
Can you still train skill level after reaching max level with a card?
Should I utilize my LP to grind on easy mode songs to get more cards for feeding? Or play hard mode songs to rank up faster?
- Depends if you really need the fodder or not. While hard does give fewer cards overall since you're playing fewer times, it gives higher level fodder as well. Up to you, really, but playing easy over and over again quickly becomes mind-numbing. --Menma (talk) 07:40, 24 May 2014 (PDT)
I really don't know where to ask this... I've seen other social games where they have items similar to Loveca stones (able to replenish HP, can be used for gacha, etc) and at some games they disappear at the end of the month if I don't use them. Do Loveca stones work like that too? Can I keep holding on to my stones until it's the right time to use them?
Does leveling a card to its max level before idolizing it give any bonuses?
After a certain point, I am unable to use the unused members that I've unlocked. It seems like they're stored away. They are shown in my album but I can't use them in my line up. Is there a way to get them back?
- The album is just a listing of all the cards you've acquired at some point in time. The only cards you can actually use are the ones that are in your club. You've probably used your unused members for lessons or something, so they're gone unless you reacquire the card through recruitment. --Menma (talk) 12:09, 29 May 2014 (PDT)
I often look at other profile from different people and sometimes I see someone with Honoka R card Kizuna (or Bond Level in english ) 2800, however I can only reach 200 with mine or even with SR only 500. How can I go over the limit ? Or does it actually even help at the Live Stages ?
- It still counts it to the profile when you raise the kizuna of multiple of the same card, so in order to have 2800 show up, they would've had to max out 14 R Honokas (or max 28 unawakened ones). Needless to say, each card still only goes up to 200, so it's just if you want a specific card to be higher on your profile. --Menma (talk) 12:49, 2 June 2014 (PDT)
Is it better to have a team full of unidolized Rares, or to have a team with idolized Rares and Normals? On the one hand, you have a higher Kizuna bonus and extra chance of having their abilities being used, but on the other hand some of my unidolized rares have lower raw stats than my Normals.
- Here is an example: http://i.imgur.com/ddBSradl.jpg
- It can depend on what kind of members you have, but it's probably not worth going through the calculations for such low optimization levels. It's certainly possible to tweak the team to get a few more points, but the complications (on top of member placement and type, as described in Scoring) would make it a headache figuring out the optimal combination, unless someone truly enjoys doing that kind of math as a hobby. My advice would be to just use "auto" and not worry about it too much - at most just rearrange the placement of your team for optimal note placements. --TReusbucks (talk) 21:06, 4 June 2014 (PDT)
- So if my Normals are better than my Rares, I should just idolize the Rares and fill out the team? My Cool team is in a similar situation: http://i.imgur.com/PkmBDPcl.jpg
- Since there are no benefits to leveling cards before you idolize them, I personally would probably idolize them without caring about scoring. --TReusbucks (talk) 23:32, 4 June 2014 (PDT)
Is it possible to level up SR skills using R cards?
Well, I'm an unlucky one, I did 2x50 Lovca Stone draw on 2 different devices ( but using the same data ), the first draw on Android, then I switched to iOS, and did the 2nd draw, will I get 2 Ticket or 1 ?
Do rare card which is monthly version increase premium draw rate in the specific month?
- ...What? If you're referring to if SR/UR rates increase with the guaranteed SR campaigns, then the answer's no. The actual chances of getting an SR/UR are still 9% and 1% respectively. It's just the chances of getting a new card are higher compared to an old card in the event that you do hit the 9% or 1%.
If you mean something like if September cards have a higher chance of dropping in September, then the answer's still no. The only cards that have an increased rate relative to other cards of the same rarity are whichever ones were added in the last update. --Menma (talk) 07:22, 19 June 2014 (PDT)
When I'm leveling up my club members, there are two kinds of successes. One being a regular success and another being super success. What's the difference between the two?
- Here an example for normal: http://i.imgur.com/36DmMlQ.png and another for super: http://i.imgur.com/CMuoMng.png
- See below. --Menma (talk) 12:00, 22 June 2014 (PDT)
- Also to respond to the question above mine, I'm pretty sure the difference is in EXP gain. There are 3 kinds of successes actually, and I'd assume its 1.5x EXP for Super Success and 2.0x EXP for Ultra Success.
- Fixed, thanks. And yeah, you're right about the multipliers. I should probably add that somewhere at some point. --Menma (talk) 12:00, 22 June 2014 (PDT)
I had spam playing event song in a day and notice that my event points is much getting lower and lower continuously song by song, is it only me or everyone does?
- You're probably looking at the tokens you have? The event song costs tokens to play. Your event points should be increasing each time you play the event song. --Menma (talk) 20:51, 25 June 2014 (PDT)
- Maybe looking at the countdown of points until the next prize?
When the story chapter of a previous event song comes out do you retain the stats (high score/combo/number of plays) or does it reset/is treated as a new song?
Is there any point to keeping a 3rd copy of the same R card?
- Not really, unless you don't have any stronger cards than it to put on your team. --Menma (talk) 09:48, 27 June 2014 (PDT)
I'm playing the Global (English) version of the game. I'm rather unlucky when it comes to scouting Honor Students (Premium box draw), so I can only wish for luck on getting SR on events. Which one is better in a team (assuming the remaining 7 members consist of R members, and all 9 members have same attributes): Idolized SR member from event + Idolized R member VS 2 non-Idolized SR members from event?
- SRs will always be better than Rs, so unless you can find a better SR to replace it, your best bet would be to leave them unidolized. --Menma (talk) 13:14, 3 July 2014 (PDT)
- Remember that if you save up your stones, usually between events you are guaranteed at least an SR or higher when you do a 10+1 draw.
- I always save up Love Gems (Loveca Stones), and I currently have 2 SR members from the Honor Student scouting (during the guaranteed SR event). Love Gems are not easy to save up, aren't they? ^^;; Anyways, thanks for replying! I guess I'll keep them unidolized until I have enough SR.
The heck just happened with the new update? I can't hear the idols' voices anymore. I turned this tab on and off under the ライブ tab and nothing works. Am I doing it right?
- Sounds are under the third tab (共通). Second tab is only for visual effects during lives and timing adjustment. --Menma (talk) 16:02, 3 July 2014 (PDT)
Can you tell me the default timing set?
- Not sure exactly what you're referring to, but if you mean the default number in the timing adjustment, it's 0. --Menma (talk) 08:04, 4 July 2014 (PDT)
I'm wondering if this is just me... I only have 3 Idolized Smile-typed R Honoka (which translates into 600 Bond Points / Kizuna Points maximum possible), yet I have her as #1 highest bond with 700 Bond Points. Iirc, I did use one of the same non-idolized Honoka after I already had her at 100 Bond Points (for Special Practice/Lesson purposes). Maybe they always stack even if they're gone, or is it just a glitch?
- Yeah, it stacks. Say you had two Smile R Honokas unidolized and you got both of them to 100 bond each. It'd show up as 200 on your profile. If you use one of them to idolize the other, and then max that one's bond, it'd show up as 300 on your profile. --Menma (talk) 20:49, 5 July 2014 (PDT)
- I see. I guess it would be interesting to see someone (might as well be me! xD) having a N-rarity member on top of the list with millions of Bond Points (and maybe breaking the interface in the process).
Can i redeem the cards which are bundled with the blu rays in english version ? thanks ...
- Impossible, since there are no ways to put the redeem code into the game. (At least, not now yet...)
With the new effects option, you can see how many points each tap gives you. It looks like every tap gives you the same amount of points, regardless of the kizuna, color, or point value of the idol. Does the new score counter effect only take an average of the score for each possible hit or does that mean that card placement doesn't matter for scoring?
- The only one out of the ones you listed that matter is the attribute. I'll try it out later, but it should still matter.
- EDIT: Nope, I'm definitely getting different numbers. Check that you're not looking at idols of the two attributes other than the one of the song's, e.g. for a smile song, only the smile idols would give you more points. --Menma (talk) 15:55, 9 July 2014 (PDT)
- Ah, I think I misunderstood the placement advice on the scoring page. I tried putting an off attribute UR in a more often used slot and saw that it received a lower score. So, only the attribute matching the color of the song matters in placement scoring? Everything else is not affected by placement? Thanks!
- Yeah, only the attribute matters. You want the off-attribute cards in the slots where there are fewer notes. --Menma (talk) 07:19, 10 July 2014 (PDT)
- I'm not the op but just want to ask. I'm a bit confused, so placement doesn't really matter? Let's say I have a full Smile team. Everyone just gives the same amount of points. Or does placement still matter?
- If your teams are all one attribute, then no, placement does not matter and you don't have to worry about it. --Menma (talk) 10:47, 10 July 2014 (PDT)
Is it possible to S-rank songs without a good SR/UR lead, assuming I don't buy loveca and just have a team full of R's? Should I do like Puzzle and Dragons and restart my account over and over until I get a UR? Thanks!
- Rs should be enough to get S rank on most hard songs, or at least the earlier, non-daily ones. And you can, but it's probably not worth the effort. --Menma (talk) 06:24, 16 July 2014 (PDT)
Unit formation does nothing to boost your score. At any given point, any of the girls in the unit, no matter how varied they are in their primary stat, will give the same number of points per note. You can easily see this for yourself with the recent version upgrade that shows score gained.
- Primary stat makes no difference. The only thing that matters for formation is the attribute of the card and whether it matches that of the song or not. --Menma (talk) 06:12, 20 July 2014 (PDT)
Does having the original nine members in one team benefit you? I want to fit the original nine into a team, unless having multiple of one character is better for your score.
- Nope. What is more important is the stats. Or you can just use the auto select members option and let the game help you organize the teams
If there's already a higher SR/UR rate for 10+1 card draws (for example, in certain boxes), if I have a SR/UR recruitment Support Ticket, will it stack?
- It's not a higher rate of pulling an SR/UR; it's a higher rate of getting the new cards relative to other SR/URs. Vouchers have nothing to do with it since that higher rate only applies to the regular premium box. --Menma (talk) 06:13, 15 August 2014 (PDT)
From skimming through the song list I've noticed a bit of a correlation between LP cost of a song and its net experience from clearing; I'm wondering if these are verified to be consistent throughout all songs? If it is 100% (or close to 100%) consistent, I may try to whip up an LP-to-exp conversion chart as to potentially optimize experience rates for rank leveling. 76.164.253.33 22:23, 16 August 2014 (PDT)
- Nevermind, I looked through the list again and it looks like all LP/exp values are consistent, and went ahead and made this: http://pastebin.ca/2833516 I don't know how much it will help anyone, but there it is. -76.164.253.33 22:53, 16 August 2014 (PDT)
- Oh, I did find one variation in LP/EXP ratio: the song 友情ノーチェンジ (Yuujou no Change)'s Hard chart costs 10 LP but grants 29 exp, for a ratio of 2.9. Probably should have double-checked before posting this lol.
- The only ones that are consistent are the songs that cost 5/10/15/25 for easy/normal/hard/EX respectively, and those are the same throughout the board. The ones that don't fall under that only show up in the earlier songs, but basically, if you want to maximize EXP gain, then you want to be playing EX songs. --Menma (talk) 07:39, 17 August 2014 (PDT)
Does changing user name free of charge or costs Loveca Stone?
- Nevermind. I actually risked myself on doing this and it's free.
I want to ask something about leveling. Now, i am playing LLSIF in english version and jp ver. And they have a big difference in exp for level. for example, i am now at lvl 35 in both english and jp ver. I need 655 exp in eng ver to reach lvl 36, but in jp ver i just need 327 exp to reach lvl 36. do they change the leveling system or somewhat?
- As part of the big update celebrating three million players, the EXP required to rank up in JP is halved. --Menma (talk) 16:59, 25 August 2014 (PDT)
- Is it an ongoing event?
- I wouldn't say it's an event. More a permanent change. Also, forgot to mention that it's only for levels below 100, so once you hit 100, you'll see that the EXP required is the same in both versions. --Menma (talk) 20:16, 25 August 2014 (PDT)
If you were to use cool cards to level up a smile card, or pure cards to level up a cool card, would it affect or change the stats of said card?
- No, the attribute only affects the amount of experience points gained. --Menma (talk) 16:59, 25 August 2014 (PDT)
For the current event, why is there 2 of "Listen to my Heart" for easy, normal and hard for different and larger amount of leaves?
Do Live Shows ever give you members other than Member #1 to #54 (first N and R members)? If not, does anyone ever mentioned about adding the other (N and R) members as Live Show rewards? Getting the members past #54 only from Scouting sounds silly...
- As far as I can tell, nope. That's just how this game works. --Menma (talk) 08:18, 6 September 2014 (PDT)
Do event N members have lower appearance rate (compared to other N members) during Recruitment/Scouting (just like their SR counterparts)?
Is it possible to send character cards to friends or to another account?
- Currently NO
How exactly is the Event Song Ranking during a Token Collecting Event determined? Would it be beneficial to play through all difficulties of an event song, or would it be better to just focus on hard/expert level?
- It's the highest of your easy/normal/hard score. Expert and 4x don't count towards it. As for whether you should play through easy and normal, it depends if you need the 500 FP that comes with clearing all difficulties and whether you want a higher number of cleared songs to show up on your profile. --Menma (talk) 04:57, 15 September 2014 (PDT)
Can you still get birthday Loveca Stones for a character that you had but don't have anymore? i.e. In album but not in club
- You can still get the 5 Loveca Stones just by logging into the game during the character's birth date. Having the member on Album and Club is not required.
How is the event song rank calculated?
I was the one who asked the question whether the transfer code would expire if not used for prolonged time. Just letting you know that your answer which is "1 year" was correct, as mentioned on the in-game notice by KLab themselves. http://i57.tinypic.com/sfijaq.jpg
Any idea when the English version will get the next set of rares? Ive been saving up loveca for when they are added but im getting impatient.
- Every end of last month/start of a month and 15th of a month. The latest week of August, September, and October of 2014 are also there to fill up skipped cards.
- ^ That's SRs/URs. The English version is following the Japanese version with a delay of one year, so probably next April. --Menma (talk) 07:35, 24 October 2014 (PDT)
- My bad. I thought he/she mentioned SR/UR cards and not R cards...
I know that songs played during Score Match events do not count towards song achievement rewards, but do they count towards the number of cleared songs listed in my profile? I'm asking this because I skipped the earlier expert songs and I'm wondering if it will be worth it to play them during Score Matches just to raise my expert song clears.
Regarding the SR/UR tickets, has there been events for them? Like 1st year only or Printemps only? If not, I'm guessing I should use it soon before the roster increases? Or is the support draw a better idea?
- They probably won't have limited boxes for those. I also suggest doing the SR/UR draw instead of the support character draw unless your teams are already mostly URs and you have nothing to gain. --Menma (talk) 16:41, 29 October 2014 (PDT)
What are the rates of getting SR vs UR during guaranteed SR/UR event (scout/recruit 10+1 students to get at least 1 SR/UR)?
- It's not disclosed how guaranteed SR+ works, but my guess is that if it ends up being 11 Rs, it just randomly switches one of them to an SR, so the rates are still basically the same. --Menma (talk) 06:32, 3 November 2014 (PST)
I played the EN version of the game, and I noticed that in Score Match Round 1, the song listing is swapped out instead of being added in together. Was it the same on JP case back then though?
Can you bring back "Scout 11 Times for SR and above" back after "First-Year Student Scouting" ends? Until the end of event (14. 11. 2014) like in some events before? (Didn't have enough money to buy gems for it before T_T)
- Yes, if you donate $5000 to the wiki.
But uh, in all seriousness, we don't control the game, lol. If you're asking if guaranteed SR+ will be back after the event (as in after the score match), then yes. --Menma (talk) 11:20, 6 November 2014 (PST)- Haha, I am not that rich sadly (I wouldn't be asking the question if I were :)) I meant to bring it back for the UR Hanayo, SR Nico, Kotori, Eli and Honoka (added October 31/November 1) that ended just as "First-Year Student Scouting" started. Because usually you have that SR guaranteed thing for more than 5 days... Also Thank you very much for replying so fast :)
Does personal "HIGH SCORE" on Score Match songs carry over every available Score Matches? I was thinking that if you don't see "NEW RECORD" after playing a song that was available from previous Score Match, then it does. But it's hard to confirm that due to the nature of how Score Match works (random song being picked and the inability to see HIGH SCORE for Score Match songs) and I have been getting more stronger members...
- Not Menma here, but I would assume that they're understood by the game to be different "charts" altogether from the standard-mode songs, considering how they behave (and how they have no trophies/achievements don't apply to standard mode songs), and I wouldn't be surprised if they carry over between score matches and just use a separate database, since that would seem to be more efficient. -76.164.254.218 19:26, 6 November 2014 (PST)
- I'm aware about how they are technically different charts despite being the same song and same difficulty (just like how event, 4X, and re-released regular charts of the same song are treated). I just wanted to confirm whether the question I asked were true. :3
- From what I can tell, yes, the high scores are carried over between score matches and they are separate from the actual song outside of the events. --Menma (talk) 06:29, 7 November 2014 (PST)
- Thanks!
For the EX version of songs that they introduce from the 2nd half of the month, will it be repeated again after it has ended? If so, will the rewards be able to be claimed again (like Combo S for another loveca)?
- They do repeat eventually. Your reward progress carries over so you can only get the rewards once. --Menma (talk) 16:47, 16 November 2014 (PST)
- Thanks for the info! :D
What does 'arranging' the songs do? They give a bunch of things you can spend gold on, but I'm not sure what they do. Also, when they have students cheer you on, is it the same effect as when you choose a friend/student to back you or is it something different?
- We're still figuring things out, but arranging the songs means that you can pay G to make it easier for yourself (i.e. you're buying things to help you). This'll be on the wiki later, but from the top-left, it's higher chance of gold/silver rewards, perfect support (5 goods/bads turn into perfects), increased EXP, increased score per tap, increased skill proc (not sure about this one), increased event points, and 30% of your HP is recovered between each song. As for when people cheer you on, it seems to just give some sort of an effect. --Menma (talk) 04:46, 5 December 2014 (PST)
Slightly irrelevant but does anyone know what's going on with all the '_____ Students' going around in English version? I've seen Dopey Student, Awkward Student and way too many more to count.
- They are bots. They replace other players 'cause the player base is lower than in JP. But some real players use this too, for the fun. If they have 0 event points, and N/A ranking as well as grey outline, they're bots. 85.26.119.106 05:06, 7 December 2014 (PST)
I noticed that Skill Support cards (cards that helps in leveling target card's skill level) has skill level of it's own. Does that means that the cards work in similar way as usual (skill level up guaranteed if the support card has higher skill level than or equal to the target's card, while only a mere chance if the support card has lower skill level)?
- Yes. --Menma (talk) 07:48, 10 December 2014 (PST)
- Thanks for the info! I guess it's still quite challenging to level up card skills (especially UR cards), after all.
I ask my pardon in advance if I done something wrong. In the Score Match event there seem to be another reason to choose Expert over Hard: Since not all player can pass experts all the times and that most "paying" players do the Hard, mostly, I find easier to have an higher placement in the experts ( I usually pass with Score B/A(mostly)/S(rarely)), where I usually arrive 1st or 2nd even if I sucked, than in the hards (all times S as now), where I usually am 3rd/4th while even doing a Full Combo. This is at least valid for the international english server.
Another reason to choose expert is that they are more challenging and fun to play, especially if you easily full combo all the hards. And since they are playable for a limited time, you can play most of them only on the score match.
-- (I won't post my IP since I use multiple IPs) Arakkun ( International Server ID: 919652663 )
- It really boils down to preference.
I have a(nother) question regarding expert song achievement rewards: do they change? I'm asking this because currently in the International server Yuujou No Change and Korekara no Someday give one loveca for every S trophy, but Bokura no LIVE Kimi to no LIFE gives one loveca for every A and S trophy (like the daily songs on hard).
- Bokura no LIVE, when it was initially available, had the same rewards as the daily song, but they changed them to match the rest of the EX songs once they made it available again. EN, for some reason, didn't do that. --Menma (talk) 21:04, 21 December 2014 (PST)
Two separate, but related, questions (JP Version):
- Is it possible to collect the promo cards that have expired from the 10+1 pulls or if you're late to the party you're SOL?
- For said promos, such as the one for the single Aki no anata no sora tooku, you only get one of the 3. Does that mean you have to buy multiple CDs to get all 3?
Ok I don't know if I'm doing this right, but on the medley fest info it says you can only get three rewards per play, but I am pretty sure I got four rewards on a play once? I think it was three normals and a little sister card too.
- Read it a bit more carefully: "As in a regular live, up to three are given, not including bonus ones from cheer rewards". You can get up to six if each of the cheer bonuses you get are the ones where you get an extra gold/silver/bronze. --Menma (talk) 06:55, 23 January 2015 (PST)
It's mentioned in the List of Items section that I can use Loveca to increase my club size by three spaces up to a maximum of 180 spaces. Is this "180 spaces" the absolute maximum club size, or just the maximum club size I can buy (meaning club space can still increase via album milestones)? Thanks.
Excuse me do u have any idea when blue tickets are coming out on EN version of lovelive?
- No. I would assume a year after they were added to JP though. --Menma (talk) 22:15, 30 June 2015 (PDT)
- JP added that at the end of July last year, so we'll probably get it by the end of this month. --Winshley (talk) 05:31, 1 July 2015 (PDT)
- It was added
Regard the new seal shop mechanic, for this part "When selling or using as training partners (awakening does NOT count) cards of R rarity or higher (excluding promo cards and support cards)", are promo cards just the things you get with serial codes or does it include the "log in for x days" cards? (ie Swimsuit Eli UR, Christmas Kotori UR, etc)
- Login bonuses count as promos. Basically any card that comes pre-transformed. --Menma (talk) 18:07, 3 August 2015 (PDT)
With the new assignments in 3.0, are they awarded retroactively? Some of them have to (story progress), but some would probably not be possible since the game likely didn't track them before (all-character teams etc).
- The story and album rewards were just merged into this system, so those were already rewarded when you got them. The only ones given retroactively were the ones for the number of friends and the titles for the album rewards/first login. --Menma (talk) 07:49, 7 August 2015 (PDT)
(Sorry if I put this in wrong or in the wrong place, I'm new here.) So, I looked through pages and stuff and even searched it but I can't seem to find the answer; sorry if it's there and I missed it, or if I just misunderstood something that was clear to everyone else (I do that sometimes)... but, it was unclear to me... it says you can obtain all rares through premium recruitment as opposed to SR and UR, however by that does it mean how it's not limited by when the cards were added? Or does it include the promo cards as well? I was wondering if it's possible to get them, some are really cute (so I hope so!). Thanks in advance! --Cashmerella (talk) 13:42, 24 January 2016 (PST)
- The older SR/UR cards are removed from the main recruitment pool every so often, but the other specialized pools that are separated by units, attributes, or school year will have all the older SR/UR cards still in them. So you can try drawing from those if you want the older cards. --TReusbucks (talk) 13:11, 25 January 2016 (PST)
- To add to the answer, yes, the Rs are not affected. Also, promo cards are, as the name implies, only from promos, so those can't be drawn. --Menma (talk) 18:18, 26 January 2016 (PST)
- I believe some of the promo cards can be bought from the Seal Shop. If you're in EN then you'll have to wait for it to be implemented sometime in the middle of 2016 (assuming KLab does push through with it).
Speaking of the new LP refilling thingy on the latest update, would your LP still refill when you level up while having beyond max LP?
- I have seen someone with 322/33 LP on a starter account, so yes. --Winshley (talk) 12:40, 6 December 2015 (PST)
The English Version Info page used to be updated every time an event started and it included all the Limited Honor Scouting boxes that would be available during the event, even days before they were put in place. I noticed it hasn't been updated recently, though. Is there a way to know what Limited Honor Scouting boxes will be offered during events that's not logging in every day to see what they are?
Someone PMed me in-game that they couldn't send me a request because - according to them - I had a full list, but I definitely still have three slots open; does this mean the game limits the amount of requests a player can receive/be sent? Thanks.
Application/Account Troubleshooting
Hi, just one question: I got a new phone and I thought I had my code correctly (it was some numbers) but when I entered it it wouldn't work. Do I have to get rid of the account on my old phone before it will transfer or do I have the wrong code? Thanks.
- I hope you took down the correct code. It's a total of 16 numbers. Don't mistaken the friend ID as your account code. Anyway, if you are transferring from an iPhone to an android phone or vice versa, you have to clear all your loveca stones or else it wouldn't work.
Hello. After going through the tutorial, the app starts downloading lots of data and I can't get past this stage because I don't have enough phone internal memory available. Is there an option or some way to move/force the download to different location? Thanks.
- Unfortunately, no. You'll need around 330 MB of free space at the very least. --Menma (talk) 11:01, 6 January 2014 (PST)
Hi, I have encountered a bug whereby when i start the current event(score match round 4) expert song, the game crashes immediately and when I log back in, I was brought back to the main menu, losing 25LP. Is this a known issue?
- Score match has always been kinda buggy ever since it was introduced, although it's gotten a lot better now. LP should only be depleted after the live begins, i.e. if the game crashes while you're in the waiting room or right after you select the difficulty, you should still have your LP. It shouldn't crash every single time you start a score match though. --Menma (talk) 15:05, 8 January 2014 (PST)
- I see, that explains it. After selecting the difficulty, my LP decreased and during the transition of the difficulty selection menu to the unit group selection menu, the game crashed. Anyways, thanks for the reply.
- Also, I did a little testing and found out the cause of the crash was I selected the difficulty right after my LP reach 25, which the game registers my current LP as insufficient LP for that difficulty. It seems like when the insufficient LP message appears and cancelling that message will trigger the crash after a difficulty is selected and only the menu options at the bottom will freeze. Closing the app will resolve the problem.
Help! When I tried to open the app, the app does not show, instead it gave me a notification in Japanese text. I have tried re installing the app but it doesnt work
- If your phone is rooted, the game won't let you play it. Either unroot your phone or use RootCloak. If that's not the case, try screenshotting the error message because there are a number of possibilities. --Menma (talk) 06:56, 26 January 2014 (PST)
Attempted to login in this morning on my regular phone time (EDT) regarding yesterday's issue. The problem seems to have been resolved. Please check. -- TKWizard
- Does not work for me Shini (talk) 13:31, 9 March 2014 (PDT)
- FYI I have never had this issue at all and have been logging in yesterday/today without any problems. --TReusbucks (talk) 23:26, 9 March 2014 (PDT)
Is it possible to start a new game on the same phone (That is remove the current data)? I tried reinstalling the game with a new iTunes account but it still restores the data. Thanks. - Edt
- Check to see if you have iCloud sync enabled for app data. If you do then it's likely backing up your game data and you'll have to go into the iCloud settings and turn it off for LLSIF. - Shini (talk) 17:07, 19 March 2014 (PDT)
- Still doesn't seem to work, which is odd. The game updates twice and then I assume downloads my account data on the third time (mentions about being connected to WIFI/LTE). I tried deleting the iCloud account off the phone as well. Ah well, thanks for the help anyway, I'll just have to live with accidentally wasting my first 5 lovecas on stamina. - Edt
I know this is a bit early to ask this, but I've downloaded the game from Apple Store, and I use APK to play it on my Android device, how can I update my game when the up-coming vers. 2.0 comes out ? I'm worrying of doing a mistake and lose my progress there.
- Just update it from the App Store like you would any other app, and for Android, just install the new APK on top of your old one. It shouldn't affect your data. If you're really that paranoid, just save your recovery code somewhere. --Menma (talk) 06:41, 15 April 2014 (PDT)
- Okay, thanks :)
Is there any way to purchase Loveca stones using a US Google Play account? When I try to, it tells me my card was declined.
- Foreign credit cards should still work, just not Google Play credit in foreign currencies. Are you sure that the credit card you used works elsewhere? --Menma (talk) 13:45, 15 April 2014 (PDT)
So i have updated the app with the app store but when i start the app and tab on the start screen, it still shows me a message about the app store. Did i do something wrong?
I'm not sure, but i think they said that ver 2.0 is delayed in App Store for all Apple user, so unless you're an Android user, I dont think you've got the correct version. -Mirage
-i see, thanks. It seems that what I updated was 1.7.1, which is an optional update(?), according to some other people.
Yes 1.7.1 was only an optional update. I've been checking every site about LLSIF and they announced in twitter that apple version is delayed ( google translate lol ), I also checked Android (Play Store) and it is possible to download it as Android version already. -Mirage
I have a problem - as of 21 April 2014, School Idol Festival is unplayable in my phone. The home screen's background is black, and all functions including lives are accessible. Should I re-install the game, or does it have anything to do with the recent 'communication problem' [that of 21 April 2014, 00:00 to 00:30 JST]?
- Are you using a iphone or an andriod?
- Android.
- Have you tried changing your phone's timezone to JST? --Menma (talk) 08:00, 21 April 2014 (PDT)
- I just did, and it still doesn't work.
- Hmm, that's interesting. I don't think I've ever seen this kind of problem before. You could try reinstalling and see if it helps, though if it's a problem with your phone, then it'll just end up the same way. Sorry I can't be of more help. --Menma (talk) 15:54, 21 April 2014 (PDT)
- Reinstalling worked, even though I had to sacrifice my progress. Is there any way to back up my progress (rank, lovecas, all cards in repertoire, etc.) in case this kind of error happens again, without resorting to that restore code from その他 --> 各種設定?
- Nope, aside from contacting support about it to have them help you restore your account. It's usually a good idea to screenshot/email your code to yourself right after (re)installing. --Menma (talk) 18:48, 21 April 2014 (PDT)
Is it possible to play the game on more than one device using the same account, not having separate ones on each device? Using iOS.
- It's not. Once you restore your account on another device, the instance on the original device is disabled. --Menma (talk) 18:47, 6 May 2014 (PDT)
Can intel processor play this game (example: asus zenfone)?
- Sorry, not sure. You'd have to try it out yourself. --Menma (talk) 07:15, 7 May 2014 (PDT)
- If you have a google stall in there i don't see why you can't play the game
Is it possible to have both japanese and english versions of school idol festival on the same device?
After installing the English version on Google Play, upon opening the app, I am stuck on an orange background. No matter how long, it will not load. I've tried reinstalling and trying out the Japanese version of the game and yields the same result. I am using a rooted Android phone on 4.4.2 Kitkat with RootCloak so it avoids the "Illegal access" problem. When trying the Japanese version however, upon opening, it updates with a loading bar 0/39706 and when it reaches 21% it get stuck at the orange screen as per usual. On the Japanese version, when I do it for the first time (fresh install from apk), it opens a webpage "app-adforce.jp/ad/p/jump?_app=947&_rurl=klab-lovelive-jp://", which redirects back to the app and gets stuck on the orange screen as well. Personally I think it's because i'm rooted. Any ideas on how to fix this?
- RootCloak apparently doesn't work anymore, so it gives you the orange screen. Supposedly, disabling SU access in SuperSU for the first time and then using RootCloak afterwards works. Someone also said that using RootCloak 1.3 instead of 1.4 works for them, but you'll probably have to do your own tests. My phone isn't rooted so I can't say for sure. --Menma (talk) 07:51, 13 May 2014 (PDT)
- Okay, I tried unrooting my phone. The app works no problem. Then I tried disabling SU access (SuperSU --> Settings --> Enable Superuser is unchecked) then adding the app to RootCloak, the app started no problem. Then I tried using a different version of RootCloak, the app got stuck at the orange screen. In conclusion, SU access is the culprit. Also, disabling SuperSU but NOT using RootCloak will lead to the "Illegal Access" problem. I'm not sure about Superuser but with SuperSU, this is how you fix it. I'll leave this here in case anyone needs a reference. Thanks for the suggestions Menma!
Hi, I just downloaded and installed the English version on my iPod with ios 5.1.1 and the app will not open at all. The japanese version works fine, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Do you have any help?
- Is there any sort of error message at all? I don't think I've heard of this problem so far, and none of us play on iOS 5, so unfortunately you'll probably have to ask around or hope that someone else manages to see this. --Menma (talk) 20:17, 13 May 2014 (PDT)
- Nope no error message. It looks like it's going to open and then it closes. Yeah, I'll post about it on a forum tommorow and see if anyone knows anything. Thanks for the feedback though. :)
How do you record your playing so smoothly by using android phone?
- The videos aren't mine, and they're taken on an iPhone pretty sure. --Menma (talk) 17:36, 16 May 2014 (PDT)
I just downloaded the japanese version of the game today, i finished the notes tutorial and stuff but then it started downloading one of those things that are downloaded in-game and when it reach a certain point something written in japanese appears and the download has to be restarted, any idea what could it be? There's also something written in japanese about wi-fi and 3g bellow the download progress bar...I'm connected to wi-fi by the way...
- The thing about Wifi/3G is just estimated download times. If it restarted, then either your phone's out of space or you disconnected. --Menma (talk) 10:46, 23 May 2014 (PDT)
- Nevermind, I just noticed my phone was out of space, guess i can't play both versions unless i get a phone with enough memory ]:(
How do you purcase lovecas in the japanese version of the game from the U.S.?
- If you're on iOS, then you'll have to either get a Japanese credit card or get Japanese AppStore cards. If you're on Android, you can just use your credit card through Google Play. --Menma (talk) 08:41, 26 May 2014 (PDT)
I deleted the English Version of the application and reinstalled it again and my account is lost.. I dont have the code to recover it back. Any other ways to recover it back? Can you tell me the email to contact them?
- You can try to contact support and pray that they will help you. Otherwise no.
- How to contact support should be one of the options in the "Other" tab of the game. --Menma (talk) 10:10, 30 May 2014 (PDT)
I'm on the Japanese version of the game and I've been getting some weird jerking lag whenever I play stages (It pauses for a second). It doesn't happen often but it's really annoying. Is it due to the phone's performance or internet speeds? It's a brand new phone (HTC One M8) but strangely, it doesn't happen on my Galaxy S3.
- It's probably your phone more than your internet. The connection's only used to connect to the server at the start/end of lives, not during. Try to remove any other apps running in the background; it could be something like Google Play trying to auto-update or Facebook notifications causing lag spikes. --Menma (talk) 06:37, 9 June 2014 (PDT)
After transfering my data to a new device (iOS)from my old device (Android), the game on my old device has a message wall with a light blue button and a yellow one, what is or what does it mean ?
- You'd probably have to screenshot for me to be sure, but it's probably a warning saying that you can't transfer without spending all your loveca first, since you're going between different operating systems. --Menma (talk) 05:05, 16 June 2014 (PDT)
- I already started the game on iOS. I did make sure to have 0 loveca before transfering. Although I have 86 Loveca from App Store now. EDIT : Wait I post a link soon. Here : http://i.imgur.com/bIqoWBW.png
- No problem, thanks for answer :)
I've downloaded the newest japanese version 2.05 on my computer and after installing it on my phone and opening the app it still says the version is outdated. Anyone else have this problem?
- It means that the version you downloaded isn't 2.0.5 (hint: APK downloader doesn't work). --Menma (talk) 18:01, 3 July 2014 (PDT)
- Hi, I have the same problem too, is there any suggestion to fix this ? Or any link that give version 2.0.5 ?
- You need to download it yourself, APK Downloader isn't updating to newest version even if you fetch it. The site itself tells you how
- Never mind, I updated it already, thank you for the help.
Just a couple of heads-up: 1) I can't register for whatever reason, which isn't very important anyway and 2) LL checks for root access at two points. One is by checking for a su binary(NOT invoking it so you can't deny it in SuperSU or others) and second, it checks for the Superuser.apk in the system/app folder. That apk is usually of no use, so it can be renamed to something like Superusr.apk, and root enabled/disabled exclusively through the SuperSU application, with no need for RootCloak. I've been using it like that for quite some time. --skn
I am getting a "Download Failed" error when I try to download a specific side story (Nozomi's Pure one). I've tried several times, both restarting the app and trying on both WiFi and LTE. I am also able to download other side stories just fine. Is there anything else I can try or do I need to delete the game and hope it works after I try again? (Edit: I tried deleting the app and starting over and it still gives me the error) This is the error I get when it reaches 50%: http://i.imgur.com/ZngH9PQ.png.
- Not enough memory? Please check your phone storage.
- I definitely have enough space on the phone. Unfortunately, Klab only offered the solutions that I tried - restarting the app, restarting the phone, and deleting the app - and that didn't work. At this point I guess I have to hope there's something else they can do?
- Update: It looks like a few other people are encountering the same problem with the exact same side story. While klab insists that it is not a problem on their end, I'd just encourage anyone encountering this problem to email them indicating a problem with this specific side story. Hopefully if enough people do so, they will look deeper into the problem.
- Update 2: It looks like the patch issued on 7/21 fixed the issue!
I noticed some of YouTube video link goes to the video that has been removed (such as 僕らのLIVE 君とのLIFE (Expert)). If you want to get the replacement, I think you can get one from Oktopaz's channel. I'll say that he did a nice job giving a detailed assist guide.
- Aw crap that guy removed all the videos. At least the Niconico links still work. I don't really feel like going through all the links and fixing them, but I'm not going to link his videos since I prefer them just having the regular gameplay. --Menma (talk) 19:52, 19 July 2014 (PDT)
I haven't been able to get into the event since it was supposed to start. All I'm getting is the box that indicates maintenance is still continuing (black background, pink box) but the text reads Not Found, The requested URL /resources/maintenace/maintenance.php was not found on this server. Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me? I've tried restarting the app a few times - it's 7:30 PM where I am (4:30PM JST)
- Never mind - I've got the usual maintenance box appearing again instead of 'Not Found' - is the maintenance just taking longer than usual?
- There was a bug where if you tried to play the event song, it would just take your tokens and nothing would happen, so there was emergency maintenance to fix that. --Menma (talk) 06:15, 20 July 2014 (PDT)
Is there any way to move the app data off of the internal memory onto the SD card? I am running out of space on the internal memory and the programs I've tried only moves the application itself but not the app data.
Hi there! Can you use your 16 digit transfer code to recover your account?
I don't know if this is mentioned anywhere. Can the Transfer Code expire if not used for prolonged time? This is because I issued the transfer code and note it down in a screenshot and stored it in my PC, just in case my phone suddenly fails (it's already quite old, yeah...)
- I vaguely recall reading something about it expiring after a year or so, but don't quote me on that. --Menma (talk) 20:30, 26 July 2014 (PDT)
Hello, I have a problem when starting the game, and click it at the start screen like usual, it suddenly freezes, the music (in the start screen) is not played normally too, it has never occured before, i think last time i played was two days ago (26 July), and it was fine back then, i've tried: reinstalling the game, clearing the data and reinstalling it, and change the timezone to gmt+9. Any suggestion? Thanks for advance.
- Don't think I've ever encountered this problem before. This sounds more like a problem with your device more than the app, and I'm going to assume that you've already tried restarting it. As a last ditch resort, you could try factory resetting. --Menma (talk) 06:29, 28 July 2014 (PDT)
- Actually i haven't restarted it, but today i tried to start the game and it worked! I think there was problem involved with memory or something so i think restart the device would be the solution (for anyone who encounter the same problem), thanks!
Hi, I'm currently playing both the English and Japanese ver. of the game on my Android phone. I'm thinking of playing on an iPad. So is it possible to transfer my accounts from Android device to an iOS device?
- Yes, but you can't have any loveca in your account. --Menma (talk) 11:41, 31 July 2014 (PDT)
- So, does that mean I'll lose whatever loveca I have in my Android account when I transfer to iOS? What about switching between Android devices?(like from phone to tablet) Thanks in advance.
- You won't lose any loveca because you can't transfer between iOS and Android if you have loveca. You can switch between devices with the same OS without losing loveca. 01:11, 1 August 2014 (PDT)
Can I play one account on two iOS devices? On iPhone and iPad. Like clash of clans.
- No. --Menma (talk) 06:04, 14 August 2014 (PDT)
- There are technical problems if you play on both devices simultaneously due to the nature of the game design. You can still play one account on both devices by making use of Transfer system, but you can only play at one device at a time.
How can I stop the lag in my game? The other games are doing fine but School Idol is a bit laggy.
Every time I boot up the game I get a message about acquiring product information, which never goes away. What is this and do you just have to wait?
- It's trying to check for other Bushimo apps. If your game hangs on there (probably because your connection is unstable), you can just restart it. --Menma (talk) 06:48, 16 September 2014 (PDT)
I hope this is the right place to ask. I have been playing both ENG and JP for a while and I've noticed that JP uses up more space on my device, I assume because there's more content on it. My question is, do we know how much storage does the game take up currently (with all currently available stages)? I know this is bound to change constantly since more stuff is added on a regular basis, but an estimate would be interesting to have.
- It takes about 700 MB for me (JP), and I don't have all of the daily songs downloaded at the moment, nor most of the side stories. --Menma (talk) 07:42, 23 September 2014 (PDT)
- For me, 700MB (JP), 350MB (EN)this is for my old phone where i download every story and song. 600MB (JP), 285MB (EN) this is for my new phone where i only download daily
- From what I observed, this is what I find (may not be accurate though):
- Each song may take between 3 to 4MB of space, and is part of initial download (only Main Songs / Hits and event songs, excluding daily songs since it's a separate download). So the more the songs are available, the more free space are required.
- R/SR/UR character voices (for quotes for tapping the character and cameos, during Kizuna / Bond Point gain on Result Screen, and during idolization) takes approximately 1MB (may go up to 2MB) per card and is also part of initial download (Side Stories are excluded since it's a separate download in which may take additional 1 to 2MB as well). So the more cards are available, the more space is required.
- The rest of the contents are downloaded separately: Main Stories starting from Chapter 6 (may take approximately 5 to 15MB depending on the length of the story, and the download includes all parts of a single chapter), event side stories (only applicable to JP version of the game for now at the time this is written), and N character side stories (takes only some hundreds of kB per character since there are no voices).
- When the game was having initial launch (based on EN version of the game, where you only had 2 URs and 9 SRs, Stories from Prologue to Chapter 5, 9 Main Songs / Hits), the game takes a total of 230MB space.
- I'm not sure about this, but there might also have remnants of data from past updates (such as event data).
- Whoa, this whole answer ended up was way more detailed than expected, thanks so much! It's a really helpful reference to have.
When I click scout, nothing appears, and in some part of the story, the screen just goes white. Can you please address these errors?
- I've never experienced this before, and I don't think I've ever heard of this before either. All I can say is to reboot your device or reinstall the game. --Menma (talk) 06:35, 21 October 2014 (PDT)
Do you know what this is saying? http://i.imgur.com/XUzTHtd.png Been seeing it whenever I start up the game ever since the Rin event started
- It has to do with the message you sometimes see when you load up the game with the pink oval in the middle of the screen. I believe it's trying to see what other Bushimo apps you have on the device, but for some reason it couldn't (probably due to a bad connection) so it pops up this error message. --Menma (talk) 09:03, 28 October 2014 (PDT)
I recently updated to iOS 8.1 and I noticed some stuttering issues in the Japanese server (haven't checked with the English server because I'm saving an impending rank up for the event). So far I've experienced it at least once every session at different intensities. Is this a known recurring issue? I play with headphones and the phone on silent and I'm pretty sure my notifications are kept to a minimum; what else should I look out for? UPDATE: I've just experienced it in the English server as well, and I'm 99% sure it always happens in the first song I play.
- Unfortunately, none of us play on iOS here. Maybe it's new background apps doing stuff? --Menma (talk) 05:06, 5 November 2014 (PST)
- Don't worry i am also playing on iOS. I am currently using a iPhone 6 and ever since then i am having trouble with the game as it stutters at some points or when i pause the game and lock my phone for awhile, then i return to the game, the notes no not move and no music is played i can only click on the pause button again and exit the song. Currently there is no known solutions. It maybe the game can't fully run smoothly on iOS 8 or it may be iOS 8 problem we do not know. Please be patient as i believe many iOS players are reporting the bug and kLab might be finding a solution to solve this problem. As for the EN version, i do not know as i have already stop playing the EN version.
- Thanks for the responses. I'm just glad to know that this isn't an isolated case.
The Android 5.0 error's been fixed on Japanese, but has it also been fixed for English?
- Seems to work for some people and not for some. It looks to be hit or miss. --Menma (talk) 08:53, 28 November 2014 (PST)
The new update seems to lose some people's accounts. Do you have a way to fix it or any information about it?
- I don't know how it is with Android, but I updated my game from iTunes without having to reinstall from scratch so I didn't lose my account (I forgot to generate a transfer passcode so I dodged a bullet, I guess). The rule of thumb is to have a transfer passcode handy in case things like this popup.
- You shouldn't be losing your account unless you uninstalled the game to update it (which you don't need to do anyway). --Menma (talk) 08:34, 3 December 2014 (PST)
when i transfer new code to new devise ,it required game id??coz i dont know my game id but i have the transfer code
- You don't need to put in your player ID to do the transfer; Transfer Code alone is already sufficient. Please note that if you happen to lose your account and wanted to contact support, you might want to note down your player ID.
Hi, I need some help please. It has been going on for a few mouths now. My problem is that whenever I try to read the Chapter 12, part 3 of the Main Story, the game freeze right when Nozomi says " Wait... Maki and Kotori aren't here yet?". (Love live EN-version)
- Only time I've ever had something like that happen to me was when my phone was out of space. Other than that, can't help you there. --Menma (talk) 21:04, 21 December 2014 (PST)
When I turn on the game and then after I press the start and close the news it just stays on the home screen is it possible to fix
Just a little added info on the FAQs page regarding about the game lagging during playing. That can happen when you're using an older device (I am using an LG Optimus L5) and if you are somewhat far from your router. When the lag happens while I'm playing, the notes would go in reverse. This signifies that I am cut off from the internet or it is trying to reconnect(using my neighbors WiFi which is far from my home). My advice: stay close to where your router is or if you are downloading, you should stop that before trying to play.
Hi, I have a question. Is it possible to transfer your account on your device more than once? For example, my friend is going overseas and really wants an idolised event card but is unable to play it, so i asked her if i could play for her. We both have the same OS (Android). And i am willing to stop playing my account for an event period playing my friend's account on my device. Will i still get my account back after she transfers her account from my phone back to hers? Will my friend be able to get her account back? My plan is that while she is away, she transfers her account to my phone, and i play for her until she gets back. When she gets back, i transfer her account back to her device. And i get mine back. I am not sure if you could do that. That is why i am asking. Thanks.
- Yes. Make sure you write down Transfer Code for your account before transferring your friend's account to your device. Once you returned your friend's account (in which your device should have lost access to your friend's account and showing the registration form instead), simply tap on the Data Transfer button at the registration form and it should take you to the Data Transfer form where you'll be using Transfer Code for your account. --Winshley (talk) 19:11, 5 April 2015 (PDT)
I'm getting a "Schoolidol isn't responding. Do you want to close it?" error. I tried to delete the app and reinstall it, but it still doesn't work... any thing else I can try?
- Incompatible device maybe? If it used to work before, then I have no idea. --Menma (talk) 06:18, 17 April 2015 (PDT)
Do you know how to link the account to Google+? I think I pressed cancel when they first set it up since I didn't know what it was asking
- On the options page where you can get/put your recovery code, there should be an extra line at the bottom to link the account. Not sure what it looks like if you haven't linked it though since I linked mine right away. --Menma (talk) 15:26, 17 April 2015 (PDT)
I'm having a strange problem with Medley mode on the iOS JP version of the game. When I start a Medley, the game will automatically complete the three song Medley without actually going through the songs - it will bring up the album art, then say song complete with full combo, then move on to the next song, all without any input. Because of that, I complete the Medley with a score of 0 and the game considers it a fail. Having lost 180 LP now, I was just wondering if this is a problem that other people have experienced? Is there even a potential solution other than deleting the app and hoping that solves the problem?
- Hasn't happened to me before. Only thing I can think of is that your phone's out of space and the audio files didn't download properly or something, so it's thinking it's over, so your best bet is to reinstall. --Menma (talk) 17:57, 25 April 2015 (PDT)
- It happened again but this time it gave me an error message, although I don't know what it says: http://i.imgur.com/eBJfB8p.png - I already deleted and reinstalled the game though.
- It says an error has occurred and to contact support. --Menma (talk) 07:00, 26 April 2015 (PDT)
- Too bad it's nothing specific. I can only hope that JP players have experienced the problem and reported to them. It only started happening after the latest update, so I have to imagine that it's related to that - especially since I don't have any problems with the English or TW versions of the game.
- It says an error has occurred and to contact support. --Menma (talk) 07:00, 26 April 2015 (PDT)
- It happened again but this time it gave me an error message, although I don't know what it says: http://i.imgur.com/eBJfB8p.png - I already deleted and reinstalled the game though.
Question when installing the game. OK we all know that when we first install on any device we would see an orange progress bar with some Japanese texts above it. Now my problem is that it doesn't finish installing it. It always stops at 38% and then closes the game prompting me to start all over again. I am using a modded G tablet running JB 4.1.2 and yes I tried disabling SU but it still doesn't work. So any ideas why it does this? Really wanna try playing on a tab, just for kicks.
- Ok never mind. Downgraded Rootcloak to 1.3 and it got through. Sorry for this.
Is this where I ask questions? Sorry, new here, 30 minutes ago kind of new. So, uh, I need to ask,Can I transfer my accounts from the En version to the JP version? I'm kind of fed up with the fact that the En version rate for SR is so poor. I have been trying to find the answer to this but all I have seen is people asking can they transfer their acc to another device or can they transfer from JP to En, not the other way around. Sorry if this has been asked before or suppose to be general knowledge.
Regarding the latest version (3.1.1): downloaded the latest version yesterday but somehow I couldn't get past the orange progress bar that you always see when installing updates. It always closes at 93-95%. Tried installing different versions of RootCloak and even disabling superuser but still nothing. Note: versions 3.1 and below are working just fine, only the latest (3.1.1) does not work. Any help would be appreciated.
- Hmm, I never ran into this issue and I'm not sure if I know anyone else that had this problem either, so I can't say for sure. Have you tried clearing your cache? Also if you have your SIF User ID code you can try clearing your data and doing a fresh re-install. Otherwise I don't know how else to help. --TReusbucks (talk) 12:19, 21 January 2016 (PST)
i tried contacting Klab through the link at update notice screen because dumb me forgot to get the transfer code and i need to switch into a new iPod because 4G doesn't support iOS 7.0. i notice it wrote a draft for me that has this long code thingy. is that the transfer code or some ticket number and i still need to email Klab for my transfer code?
- I tried the same process (I think...) and I got my player ID, not the transfer code. How long was the code that you got?
- It's your player ID. You should include that in your email to KLab so that they can identify you easier. They'll get back to you either asking for more information or with your transfer code. --Menma (talk) 16:41, 4 March 2016 (PST)
Other
So the main μ's girls having fanbases is a given, but anybody know anything about which Normal rarity card girls are popular?
- AFAIK there is no official popularity list for N type cards since they are not really affiliated with anything besides the mobile game, and even then only as fodder for other cards/loveca stones. However, if you really want any kind of information at all, you can possibly use page views as a sort of count towards how "popular" a character is, whether its page views in the japanese wiki or page views here on this wiki. Of course page views doesn't really convert to popularity and characters that have multiple cards probably will have more page views than those that only have one card, but if you are looking for anything it's somewhere to start. --TReusbucks (talk) 15:54, 22 January 2014 (PST)
- Update April 2014: There is now a transfer student poll. Results on which of the characters are most popular should be presented in the future. --TReusbucks (talk) 11:13, 19 April 2014 (PDT)
What exactly is a "collaboration" event? Is it because KLab / Bushiroad / whatever is collaborating with whomever is in charge of the School Idol Diaries or is it something else? I totally feel like an idiot for asking this.
- The School idol diary novels are published by KADOKAWA. KLab is collaborating with them in order to have more interesting events by using chapters from their series. - Shini (talk) 18:31, 20 April 2014 (PDT)
Do we know if the guaranteed SR for 10+1 draws is active in the English version?
- Don't think so. I assume it'd say so on the scout page if it was, and I don't think there's enough SRs/URs in it yet for them to start giving guaranteed SR.
Would you have links to the Chinese version of the game?
- Click. Looks like it's only available for Android at the moment. --Menma (talk) 12:22, 26 May 2014 (PDT)
I assume the top few scores on the leaderboards for the event song (eng version) are hacked, and I'm not just missing some aspect of scoring? 4th place is 218k, 2nd and 3rd are 500k, and 1st is 4.7mil
What is Loveca+ ? Got one from 2nd opening of LL.
- They're points you can redeem for exclusive (physical) goods. They're not related to SIF. --Menma (talk) 06:26, 23 June 2014 (PDT)
- Oh, then sorry thought they are connected with Loveca Stone or somthing xD
Assuming the english version follows the updates the same as the J version did, when should expert songs be available? I've FC'd everything that comes out on Hard within 10-15 tries at most. Also, is a new story chapter usually released right after an event ends? or did that just happen to be the case with the first one.
- The first EX song (Bokura no LIVE Kimi to no LIFE) was available during the Nico event, though I'm not sure if they'll implement it for a couple of reasons:
- The daily songs were available in the Japanese version since before the first event (Sweet Holiday), but the English version doesn't have it and the Taiwan version only implemented it after the Umi event.
- The Taiwan version is in the middle of (or done, I'm not sure) the Nico event and they still don't have EX songs.
- As for your second question, there is always a new story and new cards added after each event. --Menma (talk) 19:29, 24 June 2014 (PDT)
Hello! I would like to ask something about the Blu-Rays that come with 2 promo UR cards. Is there any way to get the cards separatedly? For instance, the 2nd season vol 2 gives both Maki and Nico UR cards - is there any way to get only the Nico card and give the Maki card to a friend? Or is the only option getting both cards simultaneously? Thanks!
- I think it only comes with a single code, so you have to get them together. --Menma (talk) 12:55, 9 July 2014 (PDT)
Is there a list of what songs are in what episode(s) of the anime, or at least what episode it premiered in? The songs in the game so far seem to be kind of jumbled up with respect to the anime's progression. I get that a lot of the singles were released in complete disconnect with the anime (Snow Halation?), but I'd like to get a better comparison between the anime. Sorry for all the weird questions! -76.164.253.33 00:44, 24 August 2014 (PDT)
- The song pages list which episode of the anime it's from if it's an anime-original song. You'd be better off going to the Love Live wiki instead of here though for that sort of information. --Menma (talk) 09:06, 24 August 2014 (PDT)
Somewhat random question: has anyone ever figured out what the Moon Viewing SR Rin (from We Are Navigators) says whenever her appeal activates? It doesn't even sound Japanese to me. I'm so puzzled that I get distracted whenever she appeals lol.
- She says "一球入魂!" (ikkyuu nyuukon), which means something to the effect of putting your all into a pitch (of a ball). --Menma (talk) 09:48, 24 September 2014 (PDT)
- Mystery solved. Thanks!
Is the "Bold text" on the top of this feedback page actually intended to be there though? lol...
- I think someone added it there by accident a long time ago, but then we just kept it in case people actually didn't know how to do bold text in wiki markup. --Menma (talk) 09:03, 19 November 2014 (PST)
Does anyone have an explanation about this "ghost song" that's always stuck on "2 days left? this happened during the maki event. http://i.imgur.com/9MDXzkd.png
- The "ghost song" which is Sore wa Bokutachi no Kiseki is a song for a SIF tourney in JP Ruaisu (talk) 03:31, 23 May 2015 (PDT) (Also tried to help bc Menma is not responding.)
Wiki Maintenance
Just wanted to let you know that the February 15 UR/SRs have the wrong year (2013 instead of 2014). That's Kotori, Maki, Eli, and Nozomi's cards by the way.
|
Will you guys make a list of what cards are in the Premium vs Limited recruitment boxes when they come out?
- We are waiting for clarification on whether the Limited recruitment box is a new, separate box or it refers to the special recruitment boxes during events (e.g. Bibi, first years, pure cards, etc) - Shini (talk) 09:30, 28 July 2014
- It shouldn't be too hard to figure out what's currently in the normal premium box. It's all cards from within the last six months (so right now, it has all cards that are newer than and including the Valentine's Nico), and the card list page has all the dates. --Menma (talk) 11:41, 31 July 2014 (PDT)
Just pointing that Ayase Eli, Koizumi Hanayo, and Hoshizora Rin are the only ones having the front-facing images of them at the top of each of their profile pages in this wiki (instead of side-view, like the remaining μ's characters). I tried searching for the images, but I can only find JPG images rather than PNG images, and I can't find the side-view image for Kouzumi Hanayo.
- It was intentional. I basically just took whichever one I thought looked better. If it really bothers you, I can change them if you want. --Menma (talk) 07:40, 1 August 2014 (PDT)
- I preferred consistency, but I won't object it if you have your own preferences. xD
I played the English version of the game and I noticed that there are 3 additional quotes for tapping the characters (only for UR and transformed SR) instead of 2 (e.g: Honoka has "You're making me blush!" and Eli has "Geez... You're impatient."). Might worth checking them out on Japanese version.
- Yeah I realized that when I was looking through the quotes in the database. It was originally based on what was on the Japanese wikis but I guess they missed them. Been too lazy to fix but I'll get to it soon. --Menma (talk) 16:35, 17 August 2014 (PDT)
In the English version, I've noticed that sometimes Daily/cycling songs will be shown with the Easy chart costing 10 LP, Normal 15, and Hard 25, essentially as if the Easy chart was actually the "Normal" chart, and so forth. And in fact, they actually give the amount of experience that they would if they were so - e.g., the Hard chart, which costs 25 LP, also gives 83 EXP, but it's most certainly not the EX chart, it's actually the Hard chart, but with the LP costs just bumped up. Has the Japanese version ever done this? Right now, Kokuhaku Biyori Desu is doing this, but I don't yet know if the event song is scaling the same way. -76.164.253.33 14:38, 20 August 2014 (PDT)
- They were 10/15/25 LP and 26/46/83 EXP before EX for dailies was introduced. --Menma (talk) 14:39, 20 August 2014 (PDT)
"It good practice to try to optimize your rank-ups efficiently" - Grammar typo there :3/
- Fixed. That line has been there since the wiki was started a year ago and nobody ever pointed it out... --Menma (talk) 06:16, 31 August 2014 (PDT)
I hear and see these home screen (not touch or cameo) lines in the English version but haven't seen them listed here or on the Japanese wiki so in case you want to add them:
Kousaka Honoka (September Ver.) [Super Rare #141] Untransformed at least:
Official KLab UK translation: Think it'll be hot today? Might be a good idea to bring a fan.
Japanese I hear: Kyou tte mou sukoshi atsui? Uchiwa motte kureba ka mo?
今日って、もう少し暑い?うちわ持って来ればかも?
Nishikino Maki (Initial Ver.) [Ultra Rare #126] Untransformed at least:
Klab UK translation: I keep thinking that singing is just so much fun.
Japanese I hear this: Utatte yappari sugoi natte, aratamete sou omou.
歌ってやっぱりすごいなって,改めてそう思う。
- I actually do have all the quotes and side stories for all the cards up to mermaid Maki. I've just been too lazy to translate/add them, especially the quotes since most people wouldn't care about them. I might get around to adding more eventually, but they're fairly low priority at the moment. --Menma (talk) 13:32, 1 September 2014 (PDT)
The side stories of N members sometimes mention other N members (e.g: Midou Yuuri's side story mentions Miyashita Coco). Putting the link to the mentioned members would be nice, especially when some side stories only vaguely mentions other members (e.g: Fukuhara Mikoto actually mentioned Sakamaki Chizuko and Shiga Hitomi). Speaking of which, you put wrong name on Midou Yuuri's side story.
- Fixed, thanks. I'll keep that in mind from now on and I guess I'll go through them at some point to add them in. --Menma (talk) 19:42, 1 September 2014 (PDT)
Figured that I might just throw into this wiki the EXP table I made for reference, so that I don't have to look elsewhere. Source (As a side note, on the Gameplay#Lessons section, you missed the SR soft cap EXP requirement by 1 lol)

- I copied that from the other wiki, and it lists the EXP required to level to 70 as being 1 fewer than what's listed on this wiki, and 1 more for 58... I don't actually know which one's correct, haha. I'll just keep what's on there for now, because not like 1 EXP makes any real difference. --Menma (talk) 08:18, 20 September 2014 (PDT)
- I just checked the other wiki, and that's just... interesting, haha. I might check the actual EXP requirement from the game itself when I got another SR from event. But for now, I updated the EXP table, using the EXP table from the other wiki.
- I guess the wiki I used before was wrong. Save the hassle of reverting back again, heh...
Regarding side stories: For ones that do not appear on the idols' pages is there a possibility of sending in screenshots with the missing content somewhere so that the translated text may be appended to said page? Just wondering out loud; I don't mean to treat this as a free service. On the other hand, paying for translations might be asking for a world of legal troubles. Edit: I didn't notice this was already sort of addressed in the archived feedback three weeks ago, but I suppose some parts of the question still stand.
- Sure, you can upload it onto imgur or something and then paste the link here. I've been busy/lazy lately so I haven't gotten around to translating the ones that I do have (up to #358), but if it's a card that's newer than that and not on here, then by all means. (In case anyone's wondering why we only have up to that, it's because they changed the encryption on the database after that update and then the guy who decrypted it for us disappeared off the internet.) --Menma (talk) 18:52, 24 September 2014 (PDT)
There is an error with Yazawa Nico (July Ver.) [Super Rare #357].The skill supposed to be Smile Heart not Cool Heart
Any plans on listing the available card series on premium recruitment? So we can have a quick reference of the available ones.
- Wasn't planning on it but I guess I could do something about it on the list of cards page... I'll have to think about how I'd go about doing it though. --Menma (talk) 19:48, 1 November 2014 (PDT)
Update: See if that works for you.
Just a little thing, could you add Happy Maker in the Normal stages list ? Thanks.
So I decided to crunch some more numbers now that the English version is doing Score Match events, and realized that there is absolutely no benefit for doing higher difficulties in terms of efficiency per-LP. Both Hard and Expert modes result in almost exactly the same base rate per-LP, so it stands to reason that your best bet is to play on the highest difficulty that one can consistently S-rank and full-combo (for me, that would be Hard, but only because of my weak teams that can only A-rank most Expert charts). Not to be nit-picky, but could you possibly just add a statement under that section on the Gameplay page, saying that the most efficient point gain would be from consistently S-ranking charts regardless of difficulty? -76.164.254.218 19:26, 6 November 2014 (PST)
- This isn't true for Easy/Normal, but yeah, sure. --Menma (talk) 06:29, 7 November 2014 (PST)
- I'll throw this table in here as well. The table basically list the event points you'll get from Score Match event, with values in parenthesis indicates the points you get per LP used. It's funny that getting 1st place and S Rank on Hard is the most beneficial here, but that's because of an issue with rounding on Hard (uses round instead of round-down).

- Oh, thanks. I'll add it to the Gameplay page I guess. --Menma (talk) 10:20, 8 November 2014 (PST)
- You're welcome and feel free to put it there. :D
- I revised the table a bit, showing the average points you'll get. This is in consideration to the fact that you can't tell where you'll be placed on, so I averaged the 4 possible event points. I also adjusted the formatting a bit to look better. This also came to a conclusion that Expert is definitely better in the long run, after all.
- I did these same computations recently and your findings pretty much confirmed mine. It has to be said, though, that Expert still gives more experience than Hard; it's now up to the player to decide if the additional experience is worth gambling with Expert.
You might wanna colorize song names on Score Match Round 1, Score Match Round 2, and Score Match Round 3.
- I never bothered to go back and do that because nobody cares about the details of past events, but fine. --Menma (talk) 07:09, 8 November 2014 (PST)
On the front page, "The new unit singles come with a random SR (one of Honoka/Kotori/Hanayo for Printemps, one of Umi/Rin/Nozomi for lily white, and one of Umi/Eli/Maki for BiBi)", Umi is listed under BiBi instead of Nico.
I noticed a bit of an "error" of sorts on the lyrics page for No brand girls. The game version of the song has slightly different lyrics in the last verse: そうだよ覚悟はできた (Oh yeah! うん負けないから!) It's basically the last chorus in the full version, except the parenthesized part is taken from the first chorus. I don't know how you would note that in the sheet on the page without breaking it, aside from like making a note or something lol. You might have known about this already and I'm just wasting my time, idk. -76.164.254.218 00:59, 18 November 2014 (PST)
- Yeah, not much we can really do about that without making it harder to read. Not like anyone cares about the lyrics anyway, right? >_> --Menma (talk) 07:24, 18 November 2014 (PST)
Not a big issue, but "Changed the layout of the settings screen" is mentioned twice on the July 4, 2014 JP version update...
Hi, I saw that you updated the Medley Festival section of the gameplay page but there a few things that were missing, particularly the friend support skills and the rare item drops. I've highlighted all of them for your conveniently here on this post: http://tinyurl.com/medleyinfo
Could you highlight in green the more efficient cells for Medley Festival ? It's easier to read. Thanks.
Just got a Rare #28-54 (Initial Cool Nozomi #52) as a Silver reward in Medley Festival. Guess you can add them to Silver rewards, not only Bronze.
- Thanks. I guess it's just all possible Ns/Rs for silver/gold. --Menma (talk) 07:48, 10 December 2014 (PST)
In List of Events, it's already at the fifth round of events, not fourth.
- Whoops, forgot to change it after copy/pasting. Thanks. --Menma (talk) 11:20, 12 December 2014 (PST)
I realized that some transformed cards (both SRs and URs) in the latest Snow Mountain versions do not have the "Lv Max" and the "Kizuna Max" buttons. Why is it so? --Ying
The star difficulty ratings for Easy, Normal, and Hard versions of Music S.T.A.R.T!! have one less star on this wiki compared to in-game. Is this intended though? (I only played EN server, so I'm not sure about JP server)
On the past updates page, 2 of the dates are mentioned as 2013 instead of 2014 (February 19 and January 19).
Yo! Just letting you know, the "Events" section of the sidebar doesn't show Score Match Round 15 on all pages - I've found that when viewing any song's page or character's page, it still lists the Nico event! Just so you know~
- Works fine for me. Try clearing your cache. --Menma (talk) 19:48, 5 January 2015 (PST)
- Works fine for me now, even without clearing cache ;w;
Silly Menma, travelling back through 2014 again on main page news *hides*
Not sure where I should put this, but for Hanayo's card Rare #53, I realized there's a little bit of mistake in her ability info. It should be 'Every 10 seconds' instead of 'For every 17 combo strings'. Hope this is the right place?
- Yeah, here's fine. Thanks. (Nobody's noticed this for 1.5 years >_>) --Menma (talk) 07:19, 17 January 2015 (PST)
Since the EN version is finally getting event tier cutoff expansion, I played around with the table header formatting to make it look more sensible. Just to point out that it would be nicer to see the table header in the Past Events page getting the same treatment. (You can copy it from the table at the English Version Info#Past Events page)
Some one completely messed up Honoka's page and it looks absolutely ridiculous. SRs transform into URs and Smile cards transform into Pure cards. Please fix this,
- Uh, what? It looks fine for me. Can you screenshot what you're seeing? --Menma (talk) 20:02, 30 January 2015 (PST)
Since the Wiki update recently, I noticed that you have been fixing table formatting (specifically the centering) across all pages. However though, there were no fix to the table on the FAQ page. (The member EXP table I made isn't centered anymore)
Thoughts on individual event pages showing the card that the event gives? It feels a bit clunky having to go to the character's page and using ctrl-f to see the card when I'm already on the page for the event itself.
- Sure we can do that. --TReusbucks (talk) 13:03, 7 February 2015 (PST)
Is the wiki changed again? The font looks weird on my web browser... (Windows Vista 32-bit, Firefox 35.0.1)
- Shouldn't have. --Menma (talk) 21:10, 12 February 2015 (PST)
- It turned out that it's the problem coming from Firefox 35.0.1. I updated to the recently released version 36.0.1 which fixes this issue.
I know this is a past event, but in 愛は蜃気楼 event page mentioned that you get 60000 G for achieving 18200 event points, which is weird since the required points are going backwards.
I'm not sure if this is really important but, in the みんな集まれ!_Sweet_Holiday_ことりのおやつ event page, I think "食べるですか?!? / taberudesuka" may be grammatically incorrect. Shouldn't it be "食べますか?/ tabemasuka" instead? (Thank you for all your hard work on the wiki as always !)
- Yeah, it's wrong. TReusbucks wrote that though and I never bothered fixing it because it really doesn't matter, lol. He's the one responsible for all the jokes and stuff on the event pages. --Menma (talk) 05:14, 19 February 2015 (PST)
this is more of a suggestion, but i think we could change the "Expert" song list at Score Match 16 into "Expert/Technical" and give otomeshiki a note says "Technical only".
I guess it's also safe to add information regarding TECHNICAL mode into Gameplay#Score Match Event as well.
For Ultra Rare cards other than Initial versions, can you add some small info regarding which card is paired together with?
- Makes sense, but I'd have to figure out how to put that in so that it looks nice. For now, it's just the card that's the same version as it on the list of cards page. --Menma (talk) 06:49, 28 February 2015 (PST)
I realized that I didn't see this on Kotori quotes, I play EN version (The translation should be right, the JP words though, Idolized UR#88), "でも...ことりの一番はやっぱりいつでもあなたなんです" (But... My favorite will always be you). I'm unable to write the second one because it was unclear to me (I'm half deaf) "エンジェルハートで世界..." (I can comfort the world because I have the heart of an angel), just noting both down though. I'll try to listen to it and write it down somehow, or unless you've done this before, but forgot to put it on Kotori page. This aside, is there any intention for you guys to put the raw version of the unreleased chapter 25/26/27 on this wiki?
- We have all the quotes; I've just been really lazy with them (and to be honest, I don't really care about them, lol). As for your second point, probably not. I'll try and bug the translator into translating more. --Menma (talk) 06:47, 3 March 2015 (PST)
On Medley Festival section of Gameplay page: "However, the amount of EXP gained remains the same (e.g. 83 for an Expert song. Both the LP cost and the EXP gained scales linearly with the number of songs: 1 Expert song costs 20 LP, 2 cost 40 LP, and 3 cost 60 LP, giving 83, 166, and 279 EXP respectively." ← I thought it's 249 EXP?
For UR Honoka #165, the paired card link is wrong. It's #172, not #72.
I saw the message on the front page looking for translators; I have a Japanese SIF account and am proficient enough in Japanese to translate the messages and quotes in the game. If you're still looking, I'm free to do it. (ETA: whoops, didn't realize it was most recent that goes on the bottom, my bad...)
- Would you be comfortable with contacting me on IRC? It'd probably be easier. Message Menma (or Yaya if I'm not online) and I'll get back to you. --Menma (talk) 11:30, 18 February 2015 (PST)
Are you guys still looking for translators? If you are I would like to help if that's alright. Thanks~
- Sure, the more the merrier. IRC would probably be the easiest way to do this if you're okay with that, so message Menma/Yaya and I'll get back to you. --Menma (talk) 15:54, 23 February 2015 (PST)
Is there a reason the individual song pages don't have the romaji titles redirect to the song page? Likewise with the names of the idols in Western order (which is,of course, shown on the cards.)
I'm wondering whether it would be tedious for you to add the event cards for all past events, because if it is, I'm thinking about adding link to the members listed on "Main SR" at the Past Events table on the English Version Info page instead.
- It would be, yes. If you mean just on the Past Events table, I can do that, but I'm not going through and adding them onto the individual event pages. --Menma (talk) 20:38, 19 March 2015 (PDT)
- Haha, I already figured that. The reason I was asking this was because for recent events pages, there are already listed which cards were featured on the event. So I thought it probably wouldn't be necessary to put the link on the "Main SR" anymore if the event page already showed which card was available.
This is gonna be an April Fool's joke, right? Right?
THIS SHOULD BE AFJ JESUS CHRIST DONT FUCK ME

I just saw this wiki slowly will convert to Japanese, but I'm recently working for blog that will inform any update for SIF JP and EN in English language (sometimes I'm late to update because I'm not always standby on the PC). You might check it here: http://lovelivesifinfo.tumblr.com/. Thanks :)

Story and English Version Info are no longer editable publicly.
- They are, I just don't know why it's showing "View source" instead of "Edit". Clicking on it will take you to the edit page. --Menma (talk) 10:19, 2 April 2015 (PDT)
- Edit: Fixed now.
- Ahh, I see. I didn't take note of it because I wanted to edit a single section and there was no per-section "Edit" link there. Haha
Regarding card rewards you get at Gameplay#After a Performance, while I haven't tested this, it's technically possible to get card Level 1 and 2 for Score Rank card reward. The formula is: Level of the card you get as Score Rank reward = Number of difficulty star rating of a song + Score Rank, where Score Rank will be +0, +1, and +2 for C, B/A, and S Score Rank respectively.
I'm... unsure whether we're allowed to publicly create accounts (made one without aware that having account means able to access editor for all the pages, so I should just give you heads up regarding this loophole). I will use this account just for the sake of having my name on the edit history of English Version Info page though. Of course, you can just remove my account if you're not intending so. --Winshley (talk) 02:26, 5 April 2015 (PDT)
- It was intentional. --Menma (talk) 06:28, 5 April 2015 (PDT)
- Thanks for the clarification! I probably am going to do something with all the past events pages. May I know why you guys decided so though? --Winshley (talk) 06:53, 5 April 2015 (PDT)
- See the new website news update on the main page. --TReusbucks (talk) 11:07, 5 April 2015 (PDT)

i noticed Blueberry Train RANDOM has the flaming border now, which means its level got upgraded to lv11.
- Yeah, not sure what's going on with that. I'm going to leave it as it is though because I haven't been adding the randoms from score matches. --Menma (talk) 10:51, 5 April 2015 (PDT)
You should replace Ai wa Taiyou Ja Nai in score match 17 for Easy/Normal/Hard with Colorful Voice, that's the 2nd smile song. Kane 11:59, 5 April 2015 (PDT)
- Man I thought I did. What the hell happened when I edited that, lol. Anyway, thanks. If you have an account, you can edit it yourself. --Menma (talk) 15:29, 5 April 2015 (PDT)
I just have one small request. Everywhere on the site Tsukishima Yuka's name is written Yuuka in stead of Yuka like it is on EN. I don't play JP so I don't know if it's a translation error and if it is never mind, but if it isn't can you please change it to Yuka. It'd mean a lot to me. She's my absolute favorite girl and it sucks that she's the only one with what seems to be an an error in her name. I understand if it's too much work, but it'd be awesome if I was able to help Yuka like this. Also I made an account and changed it where I could already, so If I am in fact wrong I will change it back so that I didn"t cause any unnecessary work for anyone. Thanks!
- Different romanization standards. Throughout this site, we keep all extended vowels. The English version of the game and the cards tend to discard them. It's the same reason why we use "Kousaka" and "Toujou" instead of "Kosaka" and "Tojo". --Menma (talk) 16:59, 8 April 2015 (PDT)
- For the reason above, I only keep those names with discarded letters (and also having them as First name - Last name format) strictly under English Version Info page, just to make things distinguishable. --Winshley (talk) 03:01, 9 April 2015 (PDT)
I noticed that someone added the school names for the N members. I'll just put the source here (SIF fanbook pics) for those who don't know. --Winshley (talk) 17:57, 9 April 2015 (PDT)
- the school names could probably help with better organizing the names of the N's at the "other characters" section. instead of alphabetical order, we sort them by their former school. other cards (teachers, supporters, etc.) can be under "misc". opinions? --CocoPlease (talk) 08:55, 16 May 2015 (PDT)
- I get the feeling that that would make finding them harder, especially when there was barely any information on their old schools in the first place and the game doesn't make any mention of it. --Menma (talk) 09:29, 17 May 2015 (PDT)
- i see. being an EN player first i was spoiled with the English naming conventions, which is why i kinda find the current list harder to navigate or something. so i thought the sorting by school would make it easier.--CocoPlease (talk) 08:35, 19 May 2015 (PDT)

After looking at the member card table (the one with the card preview) across all member pages, I noticed that the cell width for HP, Smile, Pure, and Cool stats are inconsistent (seemingly related to the length of the text). If I had to make them in pixels, it'll be in odd numbers of 113, 112, 113, and 112 pixels respectively as seen on the table at Alpaca page. If it's alright for you, I'm considering on reducing those widths into all 100 pixels before making further changes across all pages. --Winshley (talk) 08:20, 10 April 2015 (PDT)
- Go for it. Just remember to change the total width to 700px. Also, you might want to consider making templates if you're actually going to go through and fix everything. (Also, if I'm not online on IRC, I'm either actually afk or I'm using the nick Yaya, which is my bot.) --Menma (talk) 08:29, 10 April 2015 (PDT)
- I made Template:MemberCardTable and currently testing it on Aikawa Ryou page. I'm still thinking whether I should go on creating individual templates for µ's and non-µ's characters each (or heck, different attributes tables), or simply go on making universal one and just manually add the formatting when calling out the template (you can see that I have added <span> tags within the template on Aikawa Ryou page). This is because of different formatting on Appeal Skill and Center ability between µ's and non-µ's characters. Additionally, I probably should make one for special cards (Alpaca, Teachers, and Skill Level Up cards) and also pre-idolized promo cards. EDIT: I just updated the template to make things simpler, removing the <span> tag completely. --Winshley (talk) 09:53, 10 April 2015 (PDT)
- Probably make one for Ns, one for cards with skills, one for pre-awakened, and two for special cards (one with skill, one without), yeah. --Menma (talk) 11:44, 10 April 2015 (PDT)
- And so I went ahead and editing Template:MemberCardTable for non-promo µ's member cards and then creating Template:PromoMemberCardTable for promo µ's member cards (I used Template:NormalMemberCardTable for N member cards instead now), and I'm running into the problem where the table cell containing "This card comes pre-transformed" for the promo card template has smaller pixel width despite using the same template (you can see the difference on my test on Kousaka Honoka (Rare #298)). I'm not sure what's going on here... --Winshley (talk) 20:13, 10 April 2015 (PDT)
- The table cells have padding, which is adding extra space around the image. The cells themselves will always be more than 150px since the images are already 150px. Add 4 extra pixels to the widths of the cells (and by extension, the table) and you should be good. Give me a sec to play around with the template a bit though. --Menma (talk) 20:43, 10 April 2015 (PDT)
- Okay, I think I managed to make the MemberCardTable template generic and it should work for everything now. --Menma (talk) 21:28, 10 April 2015 (PDT)
- Ah, conditionals... Never thought that it would be usable on wiki. Well done!
Still, the problem on the promo card still persists. Not sure if it's just the web browser though (Mozilla Firefox 37.0.1, latest stable version).EDIT: Scratch that, I haven't updated the page just yet. Gimme some time to test further. EDIT2: I tested it again and everything seems good to go now!One thing I noticed is theEDIT3: I just got what you mean by the version, but it's placed on wrong line so I fixed it. --Winshley (talk) 23:10, 10 April 2015 (PDT)Version =

Hey. I'd like to suggest putting which Limited Recruitment boxes were available during which event. It would be much more convenient that way rather than having to just look for them in the updates history. Thanks
- Does this really matter? I don't think EN follows it anyway. --Menma (talk) 05:32, 23 May 2015 (PDT)
As I can't edit sidebar, I wanna ask: is it possible to colorize text on the sidebar? I'm considering on adding text color on the song names to indicate the attribute of the song --Winshley (talk) 21:38, 14 June 2015 (PDT)
- Doesn't look like it. I get the feeling that it'd just make it sorta eyecancer-ish if you added all the colors on there anyway. --Menma (talk) 00:54, 15 June 2015 (PDT)
Every time when a new song/EX comes out, the borders of score C/B/A/S will be shown on the stage page within 48 hrs, how did you do that?! And I couldn't find the border of the new EX SENTIMENTAL StepS nor that of the new song Angelic Angel (easy/normal), thank you!
- It's in the network response that the SIF client receives from the server when it starts a song. I'm currently travelling so I can't get them up at the moment though. Not sure how you got the note distributions for SENTIMENTALS StepS though (I really hope you didn't waste time counting it manually), but you can easily program a script to get it from the same response. --Menma (talk) 05:55, 17 June 2015 (PDT)
- Oh I did program a script, and when would you able to get them up?
- And I'd like to ask one more question: I once tried to unpack the data packet, but I found all the databases encrypted, do you have the way/tool to decrypt them? And if you have, could you share it with me? Sorry for bothering you such a long time
I noticed that it says you have to collect 'medals' for the SMILING! event. Shouldn't it be peaches?
- Fixed. For future reference, you can create an account so that you can help fix it. --Winshley (talk) 04:16, 23 June 2015 (PDT)
I noticed that the Dancing stars on me page don't have the lyrics yet. Can you please put the lyrics? I'm not a contributor, just a random person registered here to give comments. Thank you for your time
- You'll have to wait for whenever Shini gets around to it. I'm sure you can find the lyrics elsewhere on the internet as well. --Menma (talk) 07:31, 9 May 2015 (PDT)
I want to help out with some of the song album pictures on this wiki. A lot of them look a bit darker than what they're supposed to look like (look at the Trouble Busters one for example. Or Blueberry Train and Mou Hitori Ja Nai yo). Could I update some of them to make them look better? --DatMinish (talk) 13:01, 5 July 2015 (PDT)
- I think that about song pic is found from internet, so it's not same and some is bad. If can fix the pic from game data is the best.EliAyase (talk) 11:54, 5 July 2015 (PDT)
- I'll change Trouble Busters and Blueberry Train so you can see the difference. If it's not better you can just revert it --DatMinish (talk) 13:01, 5 July 2015 (PDT)
- I basically just got them by screenshotting gameplay videos. If you think you can get them to look better then sure. The actual ingame images are only 256x256 though. --Menma (talk) 13:07, 5 July 2015 (PDT)
- Yeah, I screenshot them from the actual game, right before the song starts. I've got up to Arifureta for normal stages, and a few others I got through events. --DatMinish (talk) 14:08, 5 July 2015 (PDT)
I noticed that across all JP Score Match events, the prize for reaching 47500 event points gives you 750 Friend Points. Has this been all correct though, because someone mentioned that it should give 1000 Friend Points instead? --Winshley (talk) 03:33, 9 July 2015 (PDT)
Not sure if this is a known issue or just me, but I can't sort by "Appeal" in the list of cards page. The other columns sort fine, and I've tried this on a few different browsers.
- Weird, it works for R promos and the UR ones, but not the rest. I'll take a look into it later. --Menma (talk) 06:46, 15 July 2015 (PDT)
- Looks like Winshley's header change broke stuff. Looks like sorting on tables doesn't work when there are rowspan'd columns after ones that aren't. Should be fixed now. --Menma (talk) 08:47, 15 July 2015 (PDT)
- Awesome, thanks!
- Interesting. I should have tested the functionality before making the change. --Winshley (talk) 21:26, 17 July 2015 (PDT)
On μ's水着コンテスト。 event page, it mentioned that the first, second, and third tiers of event point ranking give you Yamauchi Nanako teacher card. Is it actually the case, since EN have Sasahara Kyoko teacher card as the prize for those instead? --Winshley (talk) 08:28, 22 July 2015 (PDT)
Are the N cards' stories all translated or are all the texts taken from the EN server translations? I've been reading some of the N cards' stories for a bit and I noticed that they weren't the same with the ones in the EN server. If uh, they are original translations made only for this wiki and that you decided to follow the translations of the EN server, I'd be glad to help in any way I can. --Cateisynk (talk) 13:51, 22 July 2015 (PDT)
- I translated all of them from scratch. If there's anything that's extremely different from what the official translations say, feel free to let me know and I'll take a look. We don't plan on replacing any of the translations with the official ones if they're already done. --Menma (talk) 14:11, 22 July 2015 (PDT)
On the homepage, there is a line on the first paragraph which says that all the songs used in the game are sung by μ's. Now that Private Wars (sung by A-RISE) was released, should it be changed?
I spotted a typo in the List of Assignments: Futari Happiness is spelled "Futai Happiness" (Chapter 32-3 clear reward).
Is it okay if I go ahead and add the event cards to past events, like you're doing with the newer events? --Believix (talk) 03:08, 13 August 2015 (PDT)
- If you want to go through the effort of it, then by all means. --Menma (talk) 08:48, 13 August 2015 (PDT)
Would it be possible to add the transparent image rips from this Imgur album alongside the appropriate cards? You likely wouldn't need more than a simple hyperlink, but I'd like to ask here if it's something that could easily be upkept over time. Or something like that. -- Anonymous.
- Nope, that's overstepping the bounds of this wiki. (And plus the extraction of those isn't an automated process.) --Menma (talk) 13:21, 14 August 2015 (PDT)
I heard that JP's latest Token Event actually has Sasahara Kyouko. Is this true? --Winshley (talk) 06:31, 15 August 2015 (PDT)
- Yeah. --Menma (talk) 07:04, 15 August 2015 (PDT)
The event SR Maki [Ghost Story] mentioned that it requires 35 hit combo string to trigger the skill, while on EN server it mentioned 22 hit combo string instead. Which one is correct? --Winshley (talk) 02:45, 20 August 2015 (PDT)
- It's 22. Probably forgot to change it after I copied the template. --Menma (talk) 07:52, 20 August 2015 (PDT)
Nothing big, but Bokutachi wa Hitotsu no Hikari appears after Fuyu ga kureta yokan ingame, while it appears before the 3 songs in the left menu here (damn OCD :)) Kane (talk) 12:47, 31 August 2015 (PDT)
I've uploaded screenshots of Magician Rin's SR side story here (the title of the side story is here) --Boozledorf (talk) 15:30, 13 September 2015 (PDT)
- Thanks. I've already got all the text for the side stories and stuff. I've just been extremely lazy/busy to bother translating them. --Menma (talk) 18:59, 13 September 2015 (PDT)
- Would you mind if I add all untranslated story scripts (both main and side stories) into the wiki so that everyone can help contribute to the translation (just like I did for the quotes)? I'm currently compiling the untranslated quotes atm, so I can't translate them anytime soon (with also given the fact that I have very limited knowledge on Japanese knowledge). I'm asking this so that I can start compiling the story scripts once I'm done with the quotes. --Winshley (talk) 02:09, 14 September 2015 (PDT)
Excuse me, but I haven't found the #702 event N card and the #703 event SR Maki for the event Score Match Round 21 in the page List of Cards.
I noticed that the "Events" in the left sidebar of the wiki is inconsistent at times. Strangest part is that sometimes when you go into certain pages and then refresh the rest, it will be fixed by itself. (e.g in the "List of Assignments" page, it shows "Medley Festival Round 8" while in some pages (see below), it shows "Loving you!" (or other earlier events)) - VICTROCK
- I think there's always been this kind of problem. Not exactly sure what's causing it but it usually fixes itself within a couple days. --Menma (talk) 18:23, 1 November 2015 (PST)
The October 31, 2015 update reads: "There is a higher chance of obtaining these cards until October 5 (base SR/UR obtain rate does not change)." I believe that should read "until November 5."
Just a quick question : how do you sort the songlist for the events (Score match & Medley) ? I put them alphabetically but it was rearranged. Is it by release order in the game ? Thx -- Kane (talk) 11:56, 5 December 2015 (PST)
The preference page doesn't work?
As said above. Btw there seemed to be some problem with database.php. User670 (talk) 08:19, 6 December 2015 (PST)
- Hmm. None of us ever used the Preference page so we never noticed. Not sure how to fix this, unfortunately. --TReusbucks (talk) 22:31, 6 December 2015 (PST)
The second tip (about optimizing the rank-up timing) on the page Gameplay#Tips could be removed, since the restoration of LP ignores the LP cap now.
- I completely forgot that even existed. Not really a good Tips section and never was, but I removed it now. --Menma (talk) 08:03, 13 December 2015 (PST)
About the µ's special card. It has the card #767. Torii Ayumi cool card also has the card #767. Which is the correct one? and will this changes other cards # after 767?
- They... seem to have removed that special card. I'm not sure what to do with it now lol. They're both technically 767 I guess. --Menma (talk) 07:48, 4 January 2016 (PST)
http://decaf.kouhi.me/lovelive/index.php?title=Aqours%E2%98%86HEROES It says "Note:Special song from 2016/01/16 - 2015/02/29.". Btw a question, why are you using year/month/day as Chinese or Japanese people use, rather than day/month/year or month/day/year that most English speakers use? User670 (talk) 22:18, 18 January 2016 (PST)
- Fixed. You can edit that yourself, by the way, since you have an account. As for the date format, it's what TReusbucks started with so we just rolled with it. At the very least, it's the least confusing since the other format could be either day/month or month/day. --Menma (talk) 08:48, 19 January 2016 (PST)
About the external links on the main page The very last one actually is a page about Love Live, the project, rather than LLSIF, the game. The correct link is this: http://zh.moegirl.org/LoveLive!_%E5%AD%A6%E5%9B%AD%E5%81%B6%E5%83%8F%E7%A5%AD . You may also want to include these links (sorry if you think it looks like adverts, it's up to you to decide what to put there): http://ll.sdo.com/ Official site of CN version of SIF; http://www.lovelivewiki.com/ A wiki about the CN version of SIF, in simplified Chinese; http://llhelper.duapp.com/ A database and calculator site for JP and CN versions, in simplified Chinese. User670 (talk) 20:50, 18 February 2016 (PST)
- Yeah, the link's for the entire franchise, which is why it's under the Other Links section. Feel free to add whatever you think makes sense to the list of links. --Menma (talk) 11:34, 19 February 2016 (PST)
- So is that fine to add links myself? (I know that I have an account, it is just ... most other wikis have their main page protected in case of vandalism. I wonder I'm really, really, really allowed to edit that myself, and if that's really, really, really appropriate.) User670 (talk) 00:11, 21 February 2016 (PST)
About the MediaWiki you are currently using
A chrome extension has told me that this site uses an outdated version of MediaWiki (version 1.22.6). I wonder if you wish to upgrade your MediaWiki... and I wonder if that might solve the problem of the special:preferences. (quick link to MediaWiki.org) User670 (talk) 06:50, 27 February 2016 (PST) (this sig is added when I post the NEXT message; I forgot to sig when I edit this one)
- It actually broke after we upgraded to this version so... I don't know, lol. --Menma (talk) 16:22, 27 February 2016 (PST)
About the main page links
Sorry for two posts in a single hour... I was about to edit the External Links section of Main Page, but I daren't click "save" as the Main Page is a very important page! I have left the edited version in my user page, and any admin please have a look and tell me if it can be put into the main page. (note that things in the tags <!-- -->
are comments and they don't appear in the actual rendered page!) User670 (talk) 06:50, 27 February 2016 (PST)
The skill name for UR Kunoichi Nico (#692) is not translated. I'm not sure what it translates as, so I might as well just point it out. --Winshley (talk) 13:12, 26 March 2016 (PDT)
Hi there, I am new here. Do you mind if i add a better version photo for most of the live stages pictures? Lately I have done some editing. The only changesi done is the name for yuujou no change and baby maybe koi no button. But all background are the same. Thank you. --Shawn Ong (talk) 11.30,29 March 2016 (PST)
- Um, I would prefer to keep them the same images as what's shown in the game. --Menma (talk) 06:11, 31 March 2016 (PDT)
That sukisuki puwapuwa event song thing isn't in the song list yet? User670 (talk) 17:38, 9 April 2016 (PDT)
- I totally didn't notice this until now, but it's been in the Special Song section for forever. --Menma (talk) 06:38, 30 April 2016 (PDT)
About List of Events: There should be a "3rd tier" column because the double SR events will give 1 SR for the 3rd tier... People will care about that thing. User670 (talk) 23:25, 4 June 2016 (PDT)
- I made some adjustment to the table. Feedbacks are appreciated. --Winshley (talk) 02:09, 5 June 2016 (PDT)
- RE Winshley: That's not what I have in mind... I'd stick w/ "1st/2nd/3rd tier" since single SR events didn't follow that "3SR/2SR/1SR" thing.( I know I can directly edit the page, don't remind me of that...)User670 (talk) 06:02, 5 June 2016 (PDT)
- I'm okay with this, but feel free to keep tweaking it. --Menma (talk) 06:12, 5 June 2016 (PDT)
Ok I'm so sorry that I have to make another request. I want the EXACT token collecting event points table.
I've got a friend on a chatting group who runs the site LLHelper (link available on the main page, and sorry for not being able to offer translation), and its event calculator requires the EXACT points that you get by playing event songs. We are afraid that directly adding the % you said on the gameplay page will cause a one-or-two-point error in some numbers (possibly caused when rounding), and even a one-point error can sometimes cause the calculator to be more inaccurate than expected. Now that you get the %, so if someone got the % by looking into the actual points table (rather than guessing based on only a few numbers), could I see the table s/he is referring to? You may post link here OR add it into the gameplay page. User670 (talk) 07:06, 6 June 2016 (PDT)
- I've updated it based on tested values from the JP wiki. The ones that haven't been tested are Easy Score A-None, Normal Score C-None, Hard/EX Score None, and somebody's going to have to test them in order to get accurate values since they don't seem to be in the database anymore. --Menma (talk) 17:16, 9 June 2016 (PDT)
Is it fine if I were to create "sub-pages" for English Version Info? I want to put separate sections for the old updates and cards list (they'll look like "English Version Info/Updates/20xx" and "English Version Info/List of Cards") because editing even a single of those section is getting slower on my web browser. --Winshley (talk) 01:13, 12 June 2016 (PDT)
- Yeah, go for it. --Menma (talk) 16:27, 14 June 2016 (PDT)
- Thanks! Also, I just received a leak regarding the upcoming Score Match event on English server having 2 SR rewards at once this time. I was wondering whether I should make event pages for them as well... or maybe I should create all English server's event pages? What do you think? --Winshley (talk) 00:58, 15 June 2016 (PDT)
- RE Winshley: Well actually the leak has been found long ago when some people found image of score match #19 has got two different girls on it. Personally, I would prefer merging EN and JP event info in one event page (although there can be two lists of events, one for EN, the other for JP), in other words, add a
==English version info==
section to the JP event page. Alternatively, just leave all info on the English Version Info page as you always have done, for example during the first few MedFes events, the song pool on the two versions were different, but the EN pool was on that EN ver info page only, and the JP event page remained unchanged.
ps. I have to say that Mediawiki does not support sub pages of main namespace pages, eg. pages like "template:example/subpage" is treated like a subpage (w/ a link to go back to the main page), but "English ver info/subpage" is not. Consider about it? User670 (talk) 06:20, 15 June 2016 (PDT) - The problem would be that they'll start giving out different rewards (particularly the SR cards they're giving out) on upcoming Score Match and Medley Festival events (not sure about Token events). I don't think you'll want to see Score Match Round 20 having SR Rin on JP while the bottom has the EN info showing two completely different SRs (MakiUmi combo). --Winshley (talk) 16:50, 15 June 2016 (PDT)

- I'm fine with either way - you can either make a subsection off the original Score Match event page, or create a new Score Match (Eng Ver.) page to accommodate the changes. If you create a new page you can use the old score match as a template and just change the relevant parts to the event. --TReusbucks (talk) 11:43, 15 June 2016 (PDT)
- Alright, I'm actually planning to create a separate event pages dedicated to the English Version Info. I'm going to create "English Version Info/<Event Name>" and dump in every event info regarding the event on that server. I just find it interesting that KLab EN is starting to do their own thing instead of following JP now. --Winshley (talk) 16:50, 15 June 2016 (PDT)
- RE Winshley: In fact it seems that the four int'l versions of the game (EN, TW, CN, KO) are on the way of speeding up. The official microblog of CN version has, in one of the post's comments, said that they "have been discussing w/ the Japanese about how to speed up". It seems that the int'l versions are speeding up the μ's part of the game to catch up w/ the JP version, and, maybe add the Aqours songs / story sooner than we expect. What's more, I wonder why both EN and CN version have all three Aqours songs expire on 30 June - They will be added "properly" to the game after that date or something? User670 (talk) 23:08, 15 June 2016 (PDT)
- The official announcement on EN version did mention that they're planning to add Aqours cards into the scouting box "around summer or later". No specific dates mentioned though. --Winshley (talk) 01:35, 16 June 2016 (PDT)
- RE Winshley: Then I can expect "autumn or later" in CN version, since CN is always some time behind EN - to be exact, events are 1 month behind and songs are 3 months behind. (And that's why we can't get the version 3.1 update after Score Match 18 which finished the other day - We haven't got Jun'ai Lens and therefore no Nozomi Fan title!!)User670 (talk) 03:28, 16 June 2016 (PDT)

Speaking of the FAQ page... It's too long; some questions are duplicated; and some answers are outdated as of the current version of the game; plus some questions (especially site maintaince ones, such as "plz add/fix this") are useless now. Is it possible, or acceptable, for anyone (could be me) to organize that page? User670 (talk) 09:03, 16 June 2016 (PDT)
- The later part of the FAQ is basically the feedback archive where I literally just dump past questions and comments from this section onto that page for archiving/reference purposes. But I think no one really looks at it, so if you want to organize it or make it somewhat nicer, feel free to do so. I had actually been wanting to do something about that section but I couldn't find a good solution - if you have any ideas go for it. --TReusbucks (talk) 15:28, 16 June 2016 (PDT)
- There are a lot of things I've wanted to do with it but I'm really lazy and my motivation to do stuff has been declining, if it wasn't obvious already, so go ahead and make it nicer if you want. --Menma (talk) 17:55, 16 June 2016 (PDT)
Is it possible to make a list of all the school idol skills?
- Whenever we get around to it. --Menma (talk) 09:36, 6 July 2016 (PDT)
- Enjoy. --Menma (talk) 15:34, 7 July 2016 (PDT)
You might want to add a new table for score match, in the gameplay section. They updated scores for this event. Unfortunately, I don't have the new values for every difficulty. EX base score is 357. Kane (talk) 05:35, 10 July 2016 (PDT)

There seems to be a mistake on Hanayo's page- Rare #44 says that card's skill is Rhythmical Yell, but in-game it's Musical Yell
- That's how the skill is translated in the English version. It's the same thing. --Menma (talk) 17:24, 24 July 2016 (PDT)
For some reason the stats in the list of cards are not as accurate anymore? The max stat shown in the list is lower than what's shown in-game...
- You're going to have to give me examples. I cleaned up the markup a bit a few days ago so something might've gotten messed up in that process. --Menma (talk) 10:41, 15 July 2016 (PDT)
- Like my Level 60 SR Eli Ball version ((Ayase Eli (Ball Ver.) [Super Rare #722])) pure stat in-game is 4944 but in the list of cards it shows 4710 only?
- It looks like the latest version of the game adds the kizuna onto the stat values now, so that's probably why. It's for sure not 4944 since SRs don't have non-round stats like that at level 60. --Menma (talk) 16:50, 16 July 2016 (PDT)
